Dear Evan Hansen: Film Tie-in

If you've seen the movie you need to purchase this book. A wonderful, powerful and emotional read. I love it.

What did i love? Everything. What didn't i like? Nothing.This beautiful story tells a fantastic story of which many people could possibly relate to. It is not only a book but something you feel deep inside you. It moves you and inspires you and reminds you that no matter how alone you feel there is always someone there to help bring you back to the light. That you are NOT forgotten and that you can make a difference for good in ways you can never begin to comprehend.It deals with hard subjects..very hard subjects in a very good way. I cried and laughed many times throughout reading this book.I cannot wait to go see the musical once this horrible pandemic leaves!!!Would like to state although this book is easy to read and follow the story of it may not be good for certain readers as there could be triggering aspects.

Book came a little damaged but it was a great read

First off: reader caution. This deals heavily with suicide (by a young boy) and the effect in his family and school mates. It also has themes of mental health the difficulties young people experience.So this novel is based on a musical, and from the reviews I’ve seen so far this is very different from the musical. I’m haven’t seen the musical. I started out feeling pretty shocked by what Evan did by not speaking out to Connor’s family that it was in fact Evan who’d written the letter and he and Connor hardly knew each other. But as his interactions with Connor’s family grow, you can see that he’s suffering too. He’s feeling lonely and isolated too. He’s feeling the pressures of school, family, his hormones and just life too. And it’s through the rather questionable acts that Evan does that brings Connor more a little alive to his family, which is what they need after you see just how estranged and hurt their family unit was. It’s not an easy read. Through the book, with Evan and Connor’s narrative, you learn just how lonely and troubled they both were/are, and how, in different circumstances they might actually have been friends. This also shows the impact of suicide on a community and hopefully will show that it’s ok to speak out if you’re struggling, and more important, you’re not alone.

An absolutely fantastic read with such a deep and meaningful message. A fabulous recreating of the famous musical. I loved it. 5 star read. Great readability. Read in less than 24 hours

Story didn't really grip me, and wasn't anywhere near as emotional as I'd prepared it to be. I saw the musical afterwards and that was so much better. The songs carry the story, so this novel is a bit meh.

Loved this from beginning to end, so very current and a real insight to mental health issues. Definitely recommend. Brilliant

Absolutely phenomenal book goes on so much more depth in the book then the musical it arrived in perfect condition would definitely recommend the read its so worth your while

El diseño está increíble, me gusto muchísimo el libro, el guardapolvos venía un poco sucio pero me encanto la portada que está debajo, ademas de eso llego rápido y la letra es grande y perfectamente legible, hermoso libro!

i bought this book back in january, being a fan of the musical and wanting something new to read. i read it relatively fast, after recieving and it was amazing. everything about this book is EVEN BETTER than the musical!! (it was also fun figuring out which parts of the book represent which songs.) i decided to pick up my phone and write a quick little review on how good this book was because yesterday i picked the book back up and started reading a few pages for a while. shipping was a bit slow (maybe just because of the fact i wanted this so bad and that the other book i ordered had prime shipping) though, it arrived a day or two before the expected date. 10/10 book, i reccomend this to you.

J'ai adoré ce livre. Après avoir regardé la comédie musicale et connaître les chansons par cœur, j'avais très envie de lire le livre et je ne suis pas déçue !J'aime la manière dont il est écrit et l'histoire de Connor Murphy et d'Evan Hansen sont très touchantes et peuvent parler à tout le monde je pense. C'est un très bon livre que j'ai beaucoup aimé.Pour la livraison, il est arrivé dans les temps et en bon état (il est trop beau !) donc rien à redire.
