Avoid
Using this product reminds me of moment in Under Siege 2. Where the girl sprays the bad guy with mace and he just laughs it off.You could literally spray it on a rat and would say thank you. Avoid. Diluted peppermint oil is better.

Great Value for Money
Recently I have been having troubles with rats getting into the engine of my car so I decided to try this to deter them from my vehicle as I can't exactly put traps under my bonnet.Although I can't say much for results as of yet, I also haven't noticed any damage done to my vehicle since using this! This stuff is pretty easy to use but takes a little time to apply. One spray for every 10cms of affected area repeated once every three days, two times a month. It's a bit of a commitment in comparison to traps that you stick some peanut butter into and wait for results but provided you follow the instructions, it will likely work.I will say it's likely better for larger rooms or garages due to the smell. It certainly isn't a bad smell but it is very strong! If you like citronella and peppermint though this shouldn't be an issue.Very much love the fact that it comes with one already filled bottle you only need to switch to the included spray head for plus a little bottle with two extra refills inside. Good value for money.

Seems to work well and actually smells quite pleasant
We have recently had a problem with rats under our decking which I believe is now solved. We got this to use as an ongoing deterrent rather than to actively remove them.To us as humans, this actually has a quite a nice smell. I guess that's just convenient as the rats apparently hate it.I wanted something that was safe to use as we have young children who often play outside on the deck and also some cat visitors from neighbouring houses. While easy to apply, it can take a while if you do it properly, one spray every 10cm or so is recommended....but it's worth the time.Comes with an additional concentrate refill. Quite refreshing to see something like that included.Happy with the product all round.

Another weapon in the armoury.
The media could not be loaded. We live near a canal, and so get the occasional rat in our garden - not an infestation, but every now and then they pop out from under the decking. The decking isn't the issue - even before the decking they've always entered the garden using the same route, circuit the garden to get where they want to be (other gardens where there is food) and out again - it's like they're doing a lap of the garden - it is a proper rat run. We've spoken to our local pest control people and they say a wild rat in the UK lives about 18 months, and a female can have 5-7 litters per year of 5-8 babies each (all food, weather and predator dependent) - that's a lot of rats being potentially taught by their elders the route round our garden. Local pest control tell us to make things as unpleasant as possible for them so they, hopefully, learn not to travel our way. We know where they enter and exit so we do what we can to deter them, but rats are smart, and they get used to things, so we need to mix it up every few weeks to keep them on their toes and out of our garden. We've had success with peppermint, citronella, garlic, menthol, eucalyptus and capsicum, and we also have sonic repellents. This spray contains peppermint and citronella and I think it smells quite nice, but Mr Rat doesn't. I spray in and around the entry and exit holes, and through the decking to enclose the scent. Nothing works forever, so in a couple of weeks I'll swap it out with a different combination then return to this later - I don't want the rats dead, but I do want them not in my garden, house or sheds, and if that means making things unpleasant for them, then so be it!I like that the spray is made from natural ingredients - I'd rather not poison the soil/worms/birds while I'm deterring rodents, and I'm really impressed that you get a bottle of concentrate so you can make another 2 x 250ml bottles of the spray, so you're actually getting 750ml of repellent, which is a decent amount for the money, which at £12.99 (as at 30 July 2023) I think is pretty good value. Worth a try, and remember, use a range of methods for best results.

works well so far
We just realised a few weeks ago that we have an unwanted visitor in our house.I tried to use various products, but the mouse is hiding in a difficult to reach place in our kitchen wall. This mouse and rat repellent spray actually has a really lovely peppermint and citronella scent, and rodents are not supposed to like it. I also needed a product that is suitable and harmless to use around pets as I have a cat and a dog. I used this spray on the “cracks” under the wall (this wall is still unfinished and not sealed at one side). So far so good, as I hear much less crunching noise and hopefully it will stop soon and the mouse is going to “move away” and stay away. This product is safe and easy-to-use, good value for money. I recommend it.
