NitecoreEMR40 Lightweight Mosquito Repeller for Outdoor, 16 ft Protection Zone, 10 Hours Run Time, USB-C Rechargeable with 3 Repellent Mats and a Nitecore Sticker (Black)

I ordered 2. They didn't seem to work. I measured the temp of both w a contact thermometer and an infrared thermometer . I allowed the unit to run at each temp for 15 min with the pad in. I slid the pad out and took the temp immediately. The first one's temp was 209 on both the indoor and outdoor modes. The second was 213 on outdoor mode and 236 on indoor mode. This was well below the advertised ideal temp of 329 degrees.What a shame!If they had sent me units which get up to the advertised temp of 329 degrees this would be the ideal mosquito repellent!

I loved the idea of a rechargable unit that was smaller than the traditional butane powered alternatives and being free of the need to carry and utilize butane cartrdidges.Unfortunately this unit fell short in a few areas.First it does not appear the unit gets hot enough to release the insect repellent from the mats.Second, I bought this to use primarily for hunting in the Florida woods/swamp and the multiple LED lights on the unit stay on the entire time the unit is in operation, these lights are far to bright to have in a tree stand before and after daylight.Third, and this is just my observation, I feel that with the butane powered option the exaust (hot air) from the burning butane helps propel the insect repellent out of the unit and into the area surrounding area (visible smoke), I did not see any of that with the Nitecore.Fourth, the battery will not make it through an all day hunt without recharging, the need to carry a power brick to recharge, negates the benefit of not needing butane.Hunting in the swamps, the best performing system wins and that is the time tested and trusted butane option.

So this product is sadly useless. I ordered it even though I read all the reviews saying it doesn't heat up enough. I was hoping they were wrong but sadly not.I charged the unit for several hours after receiving to make sure it was fully charged.I measured in both indoor and outdoor mode after the 10 minutes required to heat up.I will be returning this product.

Real happy with this thing. It ain't lite. It weighs a ton. At least as much as your cell phone. But it does work! I'm giving it 4 stars because I was attacked by 1 skeeter and was bit. But I think that was because the wind was blowing in my direction. I live in Florida, and there aint no shortage skeeters down here. I would recommend this device even with it's weight. Why? Because it's better than being mauled by vampires. Note: wind may effect the device's effectiveness. Hope that helps.

Purchased the EMR 30 and EMR 40 neither unit seems to obtain the appropriate operating temperature of the heating element to disperse repellent from NITECORE or THERMACELL mats. NITECORE mats used in THERMACELL work fine !

This product has 1 job to do....produce enough heat to activate the mosquito reppeling pad and it can't even do that!. Very disappointed! Saw videos of this working like a charm on youtube but mine is a hunk of junk!

No funciona!! Después de dos horas conectado no coge la suficiente temperatura y no produce calor para que la pastilla antimosquitos evapore sus poderes del veneno ...no compres porque es tirar el dinero a la basura. Servicio post venta patético. Sin comentarios, ni Amazon ni nitecore dan solución.
