The handle attaches to the "Y" a little off center, so that's the human imperfection I mentioned. I don't think it will affect the expected lifespan of the potato masher, and I don't really think anyone is going to notice this either, but I wanted to be completely honest in my review. I actually love how I can now make homemade mashed potatoes with a strong masher again. The mashers in the box stores nd grocery stores just cannot last more than a couple uses before they get all bent up and the spot welds break.This masher is GOOD. It is strong and so far does not give any indication that it will break on me while mashing otatoes for Christmas dinner. I am so very happy with this.

I prefer this kind of masher than the zig zag type. I have this type with the holes but it's plastic. The plastic ones do an okay job for refried beans or mashed potatoes, but a heavier quality product is going to do a much better job in a shorter amount of time.I have to say I was very impressed with the feel and look of this masher when I received it. Many kitchen tools have changed over the years and the quality is well below what it used to be. This reminds me of what you used to see 30 -40 years ago when things were just made better. It has a beautiful wood handle and the stainless steel s heavier than I expected. I wasn't expecting it to be this long but that would be a plus if you are mashing potatoes in a deep pot. Storage could be an issue however. I haven't used it on potatoes yet, but it works great for beans. I don't have to exert as much pressure and it just does a much nicer job of evenly mashing them.Overall super pleased with this masher. I'm going to keep an eye out for additional tools from this seller since I would like to replace some of my cheap, plastic kitchen tools.

This works great for bean mashing! I haven’t tried it on potatoes yet. It’s nice and heavy, and does not feel flimsy or cheap at all. It feels sturdy and well put together so far! My husband and I were both impressed by the quality. The wood is sealed well and didn’t change colors at all when I washed it by hand and dried it! I like it a lot and the wood color matches my other wooden utensils nicely even though they’re different brands. I would buy from them again and definitely recommend this product!

This Stainless Steel Potato Masher with Wood Handle is Fantastic!!!I had another one in different style with long metals at the bottom and it takes me longer and more work to mash. This one is great because it features smaller holes yet it’s sturdy and lightweight. The size is great not too big or small. It has a nice long handle. It’s easy to clean, well made, excellent quality. It looks elegant as well with the wood handle and it’s comfortable to grip.I’m so glad I found this product!I definitely recommend it…
