for the price, this was very bright. it also is actually a black light unlike some that claim to be. for the price i expected to be disappointed, but this was very effective at lighting up the hidden spots of cat pee.

I have a special needs adult male in my household and I have to scrub the bathroom every day, sometime multiple times, due to urine that doesn’t hit the bowl. I thought I was a clean person and scrubbed thoroughly. But I couldn’t figure out why the bathroom still smells like urine—so I got this flashlight to do some detective work and find the hidden urine.It’s great quality, shines bright to see spots (but the bathroom light has to be off), and it’s a great price especially considering that the 3 AA batteries are included. It feels solid in my hand.Well, I shined this light in my bathroom and now I know why it still smells like urine. Without this light, I never would have known that it’s on the freakin walls! Ya’ know the spare stack of toilet paper on the nice little storage stand? Yep… there too. SO GROSS! But at least now I know….I kind of doubted the accuracy of what I was seeing so I went down the hall to another bathroom not used by this individual and…no splatters.One thing I did not realize beforehand is that white grout glows under a black light and is not necessarily urine.I’m getting another one of these black light flashlights for our vacation home. I might even buy them to give away as Christmas gifts lol.I recommend this black light flashlight!I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. Good product and nice size

I purchased this to charge some glow in the dark paint. Then my daughter went around to see of it would actually pick up pet urine. I have a little boy dog who likes to mark when other dogs are around. It actually did pick it up on the baseboard near the back door so now I know exactly where to clean. The only downside I found is that it doesn't pick up that we'll on fabric surfaces. If I buy another it will probably be the more expensive but stronger light with double the less. Overall we'll built wirh metal and worth it's price.

This thing is pretty neat. Essentially, it's an LED flashlight, but it uses UV LEDs. I purchased it to help me find caterpillars on my tomato plants (it works!) after dark. And it does a good job of helping find the horned caterpillars.It's also useful in the home. You can use it to see stains/spills that are invisible in regular light. It comes in handy in the kitchen to find what you missed. Additionally, in the bathroom, it will definitely show you if your boys have bad aim, so there's that.Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

Works just as described. Super helpful finding where the dogs have urinated in the house. We call it our new game going through the dark house with the flashlight looking for "treasure"..lol

I bought this for dog pee identification on a light colored rug -- I later learned its the wrong frequency! I bought a different light with 365nm and that pee lit up like Christmas :) 3 stars cuz its bright and seems like it finds other things....
