A magnificent finished product
At 1/8 scale it is larger than I thought it would be. It fills up almost the entire shelf I have it displayed on!It was challenging at times during the build but not the toughest I have encountered.Worth the money! No missing pieces.

What a great build! A beast of a kit!
This is a really nice kit. Very gift-able. This is intended for age 14+. It is a (very) large & complex kit. The box itself is very large, measuring 24"x11"x9".The build itself is quite fun. It's a large kit - I spent about a week building it in the evenings. The instruction kit is very nicely printed - with a 202-page guide. Most of the instructions are very clear. There are a couple of pins that look similar (dark vs light gray). Most assembly was rather straight-forward, but there were a few places where assembly was difficult due to limited finger access. I found the wheels quite difficult to attach as there are 3 pins to align, and it's a totally blind fitment.I always consider that a good kit contains some unique design elements. I wasn't disappointed. Some of the impressive elements include:* 12 cylinder engine. Even when complete, the engine is partially visible, you can see the piston's move.* The doors lift forward and up. There's a push mechanism behind the doors, so that they can raise. This mechanism also prevents the doors from falling back under their weight, making it possible to display with doors open.* There is a functional paddle shifter mechanism that can adjust the gearing from forward to reverse.* Functional steering. Working differential.* The seats even have a mechanism to adjust forward/rear.The kit is designed to allow for an (optional) LEGO compatible motor kit. With this, the car can function by remote control. I did NOT install the motors - nor do I recommend it. Typically, these make poor R/C vehicles. But just be aware that this is possible. The instructions didn't specify the exact type of motors. There are 4 (2 for drive, 1 for steering, and 1 for forward/reverse - I think). I believe these are the old LEGO L/M style motors - but I'm not an expert in this area. The exterior of the vehicle is "interesting". Some car models are fully skinned. This one isn't. The red outer parts given the sense of a skin, while still being fairly open in design. I liked this, my wife didn't. Personal taste. There are a few stickers, but not many. The stickers don't span parts. A couple of the stickers were slightly larger than the part and I needed to use a sharp knife to shave a sliver off the edge.Hey - if this is such a great kit, why didn't you give it 5-stars??? Fair question. There were a few issues:* The heavy outer box contains 2 inner boxes. The inner boxes are made of a lighter cardboard. When I received this item, the 2 inner boxes were damaged. I believe this is from the weight of the parts during shipping. You can see the bent cardboard in one of the photos.* When opening the first box, I found a bag of small pins had been split partially open. There were a bunch of parts just scattered in the box. You can see the unpackaged parts in the photo with the bent cardboard inner box.* There was one minor part that was missing. There were several of these, and I was able to find a spot where the part wasn't really needed.* There's an issue with some of the parts that fit onto axles. Either the axle is too small, or the socket is too large. The parts would fall off the axles. This issue also occurs with the white knife-like headlight parts. PRO TIP: Get some high quality duct-tape and wipe some of the glue onto the axle. This will keep it secure.* The shock-absorbers are so stiff that they are not functional. When I tried to flex the shocks, I was afraid that I'd break something.* The car is modeled off of the Apollo Evo supercar. It looks like this company didn't license the name as the box indicates "Apoulo Evo" and the Amazon page indicates "Apello Evo".Overall, this is really a great kit. Quite fun, and I'd recommend it. The value is quite good. I'd expect a similarly sized LEGO brand kit to cost roughly twice as much. Unfortunately can't give it 5-stars.

Great Build!!
This set was super fun to assemble and it was a challenging process as well. This took me about two weeks of about a couple hours a day. I was not missing any pieces and had some leftover pieces to use when needed for other projects. The instruction book was very easy to follow so no worries there. If you’re looking for a good and challenging model please get one of these, you won’t be disappointed.

Missing parts
I gave this item to a friend and although we thought it would be really cool, a battery or motor did not arrive. I'm not sure as I'm not the one building it, but my friend reached out to me letting me know that the piece did not come with the package.

started yesterday. had to stop as i was to tired and kept dozing off with parts in my hands.
havn't done very much so far. been to tired and in to much pain to work on it. it'll get done though and i'll post pics from different build points along the way.. for now it's awesome and gonna be big. so far i absolutely love it. if i could give this a higher then 5 star rating i would. it's gonna look beast when done. stay tuned for pics. recommend - absolutely. well worth itFinally finished it. and it looks absolutely amazing. does not come with the motors yet the motor steps are clearly in the instructions. doors are sick, press on a bar at a certain spot and it'll open the doors. i dislike the hood(it looks like something is missing). the upper fins on the back also should have had more to them as they are literally upside down. and to clean up the look it could have had an upright layer with it to cover it up. there are also several places where you leave a spot where it seems as if something should connect there and it doesn't. it's almost weird. there is also a bag with 2 gears that says replace but no where does it mention where you replace them. i figured it out only by guessing when it no longer wanted to move anything smoothly and started to pop. there is a spot on the very back with 2 smaller light blue gears. these are the 2 you replace and it turns smoothly again. one of the last steps you do is the 2 red plates running down each side of the piece down the center. those have 2 mounting spots at the front but nothing at the rear. i used spare parts to connect them together to give it as cleaner look. overall this thing is a beast. looks awesome and can be turned into an rc car(with a motor kit of course). i'd still recommend it though. it was fun to do.

NOT FOR NOVICE
Unless you've worked with a project this big before it's not for you. The directions are clear, but there are so many pieces. I wished they were better labeled to make finding the piece you need easily. Pretty much bags stuffed with no instructions on which bag is for which step. If you're not a pro at this or at least have a few smaller builds under your belt. Better instructions on pieces would be helpful. Stay away. You'll need a big area and patience.
