Excellent product
Quality indredients and fantastic results after 4 weeks using. Similar to The Ordinary but better! Highly recommend, but the bottle pump needs fixing but good news is you can manually open it.

Don't like the smell
This Current State Vitamin C Serum is a lightweight gel, I found it absorbs into my skin (normal-oily) very quickly and easily, which is great. The reason I am only giving this three start rating is because I don't like the smell of this gel. This serum doesn't have added fragrance but it has a what I can only describe as stale plastic smell, that I found is very off putting and cannot ignore. I don't like his smell on my face, but I also don't want to waste this serum, so for now I am only applying it on my forehead so I don't have t smell it as much.Made in the USA, it has an expiry date that is nearly two years from when the item is delivered.

Like everything other than the odd smell
Everyone seems to dislike the bottle. I don't, though maybe that's because it hasn't broken for me (yet?). It's definitely eye-catching and different and, most importantly, working without issue at the moment. Regardless, it's true that the bottle isn't filled all the way - on my picture it's filled up to the "antioxidant" line. But if you ignore the top pump part and imagine this as a jar instead, it would be filled approximately to the same spot, i.e., 30ml/1 fl oz is a standard size for beauty products and no jar is ever filled to the top. I guess what I'm trying to say is the pump gives the illusion of cheaping out on product when it's really just wasted plastic on the pump (not that I encourage that either!). So I won't ding them for only a small amount of product. The only thing I don't like is the smell, probably because of the natural greens. However, I like the serum itself, especially that it's a thicker consistency. On me, a middle-aged woman with dry skin, it absorbs right away and one pump gives more than enough (in fact, the other minor quibble is the pump gives out a little too much). I can't say that it does anything after only a week, but I don't have any reason not to like this - the price point is good, the inclusion of greens is cool (even if who knows whether that does anything), and the serum lays fine on my face and allows me to layer over it. I do not get any pilling, alone or under heavy face creams and, even if I have a very strong nose, the smell seems to go away after a few seconds. I've never tried anything else from this brand but I'd certainly be willing.

Not a happy camper.
I should have paid attention to the other reviewers. The product was okay but the packaging is very poorly designed. The container does not allow you to see how much is in it - not full - and how much is left when the pump stops working. I still had enough to last 4 more days by removing the pump and tipping the container. I definitely will not reorder.

Vitamin C for Skin Softness
I have been using this serum for about a week, and it seems to really keep my skin soft, without leaving any residue or stickiness. The serum is a cloudy white and has the texture of hair gel; it has some density and seems semisolid, but it absorbs easily into my skin when applied. This has a light citrussy scent, which seems common for a vitamin C serum, but the scent fades as the serum is absorbed, and doesn't linger. So far, my skin is reacting well to this product, and I find it to be moisturizing. It will probably take longer than a week to see some of the more long-term effects of the vitamin C, but I'm hopeful.

The serum is great!
I'm pretty happy with this serum's performance on my skin! The texture is perfectly balanced thin enough to absorb quickly, yet substantial enough to provide great hydration. My skin feels soft, and smooth after use, without any sticky residue left behind. I also appreciate that it doesn't irritate my skin. However, I do have some design concerns with the bottle. The nozzle is too small, making it difficult to dispense the serum, and I often have to remove it and pour the product into my hand. Also, the bottle isn't filled up all the way, which is disappointing. Despite those issues, the serum itself is great.

Not necessarily for sensitive skin
It took me longer than usual to formulate my thoughts on this serum. I have tried just about every Vitamin C Serum known to man so I am very familiar with the good, the bad and the ugly. I was surprised to see that this serum checked just about every single one of my very particular boxes and is quite clean...it didn't seem to have anything in it that could possibly irritate my super sensitive skin. I love that it's fragrance and gluten free and didn't mind using the little pump bottle, found it to be easy and aesthetically pleasing.I only applied this to half of my face initially after cleansing and toning just to make sure it wouldn't cause any problems for me. I felt zero tingling, itching, irritation so I was seemingly good to go. It didn't make me sneeze or make my eyes run so I thought wow, this is a seriously great contender and I would be thrilled to be able to replace the C serum that I use because it costs in the triple digits. So, all was well for a couple of days and then I started to notice that my skin wasn't looking so good and even looked a little splotchy...I thought, oh no...am I having some kind of delayed reaction? This is the only thing new in my routine right now so, while I really like the ingredient list and this seems safe for sensitive skin because I didn't get any immediate bumps or itching, I can't say that my skin is looking better after having used it for several days. Great price point and interesting ingredient list though so give it a patch test try and see how you do with it.

Awesome Vitamin C serum!
This company knows how to preserve the quality of the Vitamin C. You have a dark bottle and a pump applicator to keep oxygen from oxidizing the Vitamin C, rendering it ineffective. This product has quality ingredients and all you need is a little to cover the face and neck area. The addition of other antioxidants is a benefit for the skin. This feels great once applied and absorbed. My makeup goes well on top of it too.
