I wanted a portable speaker for use when travelling so my priority was portability followed closely by sound quality. There are so many Bluetooth speakers available and I spent an age researching what's available and reading reviews. Before going for the FREEme I had also considered Creative Roar, UE Boom, Braven BRV-1 and the Bose Soundlink Mini.The packaging that it come boxed in is nice and it and comes with a mini USB charger, additional rubber stabilising mat (should you need it), mini jack lead and a good quality fabric carrying pouch. The FREEme looks good and has a rubber casing and has a thickish rubber base which does a decent job of keeping it sat still on a flat surface. It connects to a Bluetooth enabled device using NFC and also has an auxiliary in for connected non Bluetooth enabled devices. One annoying omission on the FREEme is the lack of a remaining battery indicator.So how does it sound? Well if you consider how small this thing is (it fits on the palm of your hand) then pretty amazing. Does it sound as good as a bigger HiFi speaker? No, absolutely not but I wasn't expecting it to. It did exceed my realistic expectations though and it does a very good job of presenting a balanced warm sound. It never sounds shrill and the mids are nice and smooth resulting in natural sounding speech (unlike other small Bluetooth speakers I've heard). There isn't masses of bass but it is certainly there which is an amazing feat given its size! The volume it achieves is good enough for what I need and it easily fills a small to medium sized room. However, if you are looking for something to throw a party with then this is probably not for you. Pioneer have gone for a more balanced sound rather than sacrifice sound quality to achieve a higher overall volume.When I first fired it up it did sound a litte recessed to me so I left it playing over night at medium volume to break it in. It certainly helped and the next day the treble sounded more immediate and more open. I would recommend that any buyers do the same before making judgement - it does sparkle a little more after a short burn in. Note all listening has been done without any EQ-ing.Overall I'm really pleased with the FREEme. It has a very decent sound for its very small size and will be perfect for my travels. Only the lack of a battery power indicator stopped me rating it higher than 4 stars.

Sembra incredibile che un "cosino" del genere emetta dei bassi così profondi, è questo che mi stupisce, veramente un ottimo prodotto, lo ricomprerei, e poi è bellissimo da un tocco moderno all'arredamento.

Buena compra: me ha salido a mitad de precio que en las grandes superficies de electrodomésticos, a la hora de utilizarlo se nota que es Pioneer... una gran definición de sonido y unos graves muy correctos para su tamaño... además venía con una toalla de microfibra de regalo...
