Tomy Starlight Dreamshow (Pink)

This is the second tomy dreamshow i have bought! I picked an older design one up second hand while I was pregnant and my child has slept with it every night since birth! She is 2 and also i use it with my 6 month old who also really likes it! Sends them both off to sleep perfectly. I wouldn't be without it and it's on its last legs so I thought I had better get a replacement in advance. I personally prefer my older design one to this new one - the same in every way apart from the light patterns. I feel that there is too much going on in the new design where the old one is very simple. To anyone who is interested in this product I would say that the music is probably going to be louder than expected but its not 'that' loud and neither I, or my two children have a problem with it. There is not a light only option or volume control; this would make a nice addition but probably push the price up too! As I use it with a 2yr old so I don't attach it to the cot because she would be too interested in playing with it but also try's to look in the light which I obviously do not want her doing so I stand it on the shelf instead. There is a 5 or 10 minute time option and three lullabies to choose from! I couldn't recommend this product more! It's a simple design, it's cute and a bit retro and it's a reasonable price! Can't go wrong with this in my opinion!

Compact and effective and really does the job of calming baby and helping her to sleep. Even I find the images quite mesmerising. Would highly recommend to anyone that doesn't want a bulky mobile hanging over the crib. Also love the fact it is easy to pack and travel with, thus providing consistency at nap times for our little one.

I bought this because my daughter was becoming more alert and I thought she was needing something to help settle her at bedtime. The dream show is very cute, and easily attaches to the cot. It plays calming lullabys and the images on the ceiling are bright and colourful. Mydaughter loves it, at bedtime I put her in her moses basket, turn the dream show on (set for 10mins on the timer) and by the time it's finished she's zzzzzzzzz! The only negatives are that you can't turn sound off and I wish it woud play longer as you only have a choice of 5 or 10 minutes. It's also worth knowing that the images are reflected on the ceiling in a circle and it is not reflected over the whole ceiling, but it's still big enough for it to keep my daughters attention. Well worth the money!

I recently just bought this and found that projection of the pictures stalls and you can hear the noise of the projector as well. The music is soft and soothing for the baby but the photo and sound quality is poor.

Brilliant item. Soothes LO to sleep and she enjoys watching the motion on the ceiling. Plays for 5 or 10 mins. My LO likes the way it lights up her room and she finds it comforting. She will sometimes drift back off to sleep in the morning if we put it on for her while her bottle is made up. Fab product and cheap!

I bought this for my 4 month daughter as the mobile we had that projected lights onto the ceiling kept breaking down. When I first tried it I didn't like it as it wasn't the same as the old one but my daughter was fascinated by it. It glows a lovely pink colour and has about 3 different tunes in a 'music box' style. It projects teddies and moons onto the ceiling. It was a bit loud so we moved it away from the cot. You can set it to last for 5 or 10 minutes. The downside is that it appears only to play one tune for the whole ten minutes which starts to become repetitive. However, I would recommend this product. It's now part of our bedtime routine and it works a treat. We turn it on in the dark bedroom and watch it together for a few minutes and then she lays in her cot and watches it on her own. Tonight at 7 she lay in her cot for a few minutes watching the 'show' and was asleep before it finished (although we had been swimming today so she was exhausted!)

Great product for the price. Compact and lightweight and great for taking travelling as it makes baby feel at home. I've seen fancier ones with remote controls and sensors but in my opinion there's no need. THis has done us proud. It's also taken a battering and survived - she kicks and bashes it against the cot bars but it still works fine

This won't actually be used by the baby for a few weeks yet, but I think the melodies (2 of the 3 especially) are very gentle and settling. The visual display is nice too - slow moving. 5 and 10 minute timer - maybe it's not necessary but a longer one, even 15 mins might prove useful. 4AA batteries are required - the cover requires a philips screwdriver, and is very slightly awkward to take off and replace, but should not prove a problem for anyone.Oh by the way it is very pink and very girly - fine for first grandaughter - will it be a problem if our imminent granchild is a boy ....?

I purchased a Tomy dreamshow for my daughter when she was born. She is now 10, I purchased this new colored one (original one is yellow) and she still uses them. The original Tomy one still works 10 years later after everyday use! It has a timer to play for 5 or 10 mins and then it shuts off. It plays cute colorful pictures on the ceiling and rotates the images while the music plays. This is a must have for any young child. When the batteries begin to run low, the pictures still display on the ceiling but they do not rotate. Music still plays until it starts to sound sluggish. Replace the batteries and the joy begins again. I would say the batteries last for approximately 3 months of everyday use. Thats a rough estimate because Ive not ever kept track of how often I replace batteries.

A mis hijas les encanta esta lámpara y se quedan hipnotizadas con ella. Además, funciona muy bien y proyecta muy bien las imágenes en el techo. La única pena es que no pueda dejarse funcionando ininterrumpidamente, ya que tiene temporizadores de uso obligatorio.

Diese Spieluhr ist wirklich klasse.Uns und unserer Tochter (gerade 8 Monate alt) gefällt die Musik sehr gut, jedoch ist dies nunmal auch subjektives Empfinden.Als unsere Tochter noch sehr klein war, und sie in so manche Schreiphase kam, konnte die Spieluhr sie auf andere Gedanken bringen und gut beruhigen ;-) natürlich habe ich die Kleine da aber auch noch weiter im Arm geschaukelt. Oft bin ich mit Tochter und Spieluhr herum gelaufen. Aber es hat geholfen ;-)Mittlerweile dient die Spieluhr als Einschlafritual. Die Bilder an der Decke werden nicht langweilig - sie weisen eine große Vielfalt an unterschiedlichen Motiven auf.Was ich vielleicht noch klasse fände: Eine Möglichkeit das Licht auszustellen, besonders im Säuglingsalter konnte unsere Tochter mit den Bildern nichts anfangen und wir haben uns oft am Licht geblendet.

I purchased this product off Amazon.in. While the order and delivery experience was excellent, I was dismayed to find out that the projected images were visible but stationary. Initially I thought is was a battery problem but even after inserting new batteries, there was no improvement in status. After looking up reviews on the internet (written and visual), it was clear that the images should move around. I then sought a product return from Amazon. The return experience was not too great as the product was picked up after a delay of 7 days and a total of 4 phone calls to the customer support team. The refund, however, was relatively speedy. All in all, it was a waste of time as the product did not deliver the highly overrated experience.

lors de la réception de la veilleuse petite déception car les images ne tournaient pas!merci au service après vente pour la rapidité de l'envoi d'une autre veilleuse!!!!!fantastique!sinon j'ai donc reçu ma 2ème veilleuse!toute simple mais parfaite,petite donc pratique lors de déplacements,musiques jolies et images au plafond adorables!dommage qu'il n'y ai pas une fonction juste pour avoir les images sans la musique mais vu le prix on ne va pas chipoter!parfait!
