Oasis Shower Chair
***** The chair somewhat difficult to assemble. Directions ar average. I got it together but the crossbeam cross on lower legs does not fit well. Not a smoth installation. Why I question weight limit is the compleated construction of chair is to wobbly in design. The adjustable chair legs should have been engineered in design to be a tighter slide length on each leg so it does not move and wobble so much. It makes me feel a bit insecure. Thanks

This OasisSpace Chair Is Easily Adjustable In Height, Sturdy And Comfortable To Shower With...
I really liked this OasisSpace shower chair once I completed its' assembly but I did have an issue or two doing so. The first issue was the tiny print, I've seen better User Manual presentations with print and picture size that is more suitable for the elderly by other manufacturers but this can all be avoided if you watch the "Installation of OasisSpace Shower Chair Video" as provided on the Amazon sales page for this chair. I found myself having to reverse the installation of the backrest because one of the locking buttons would not engage properly so I assembled the backrest to the "L" tubes and then assembled them to the seat base and all worked as expected. These were all very minor issues and shouldn't deter you from ordering this chair.Based on its' low price point I wouldn't hesitate to order this same chair again. This chair is exactly as advertised, a height adjustable, heavy duty shower chair and with a weight capacity of 500 lbs. and it would be suitable for just about anybody but with one caveat. The width between the armrests is slightly over 18.5 inches so if a lot of your weight is around your hips you may not be comfortable sitting in this chair while taking a shower unless you remove the armrests from the chair which is very easy to accomplish by just reversing the installation process of the armrests. I'm 6 ft. tall and just under 200 lbs. and I was very comfortable while setting in this shower chair and with the fairly large non-slip rubber feet you don't have to worry about the chair moving around while in the shower. One other thing I also believe is a plus for this chair that the seller fails to mention nor show in their pictures are the two Adhesive Backed EVA Pads which comes with the chair that can be applied to the backrest and the seat and they assist in the comfort level of this chair. The adhesive backed seat pad has pre-punched holes to match the drain holes in the seat so the water will still drain properly while taking your shower. For anyone that has an issue standing for long periods while taking a shower or just wants to sat down and relax while showering you really can't go wrong by ordering this chair and if for some reason this chair doesn't work for you then it comes with the Amazon 30 day free return policy!

Does what I need it to, but not super sturdy
I live with and take care of my dad who has health issues, back problems, trouble bending over in the shower and weighs over 300 lbs. I needed something for the shower he could sit down in to make the process easier. This chair works for that, but it has a fair amount of quirks I need to point out.If you have experience putting together furniture that requires assembly this should be a quick process. It does take a bit of strength to get the cross support tubes in place and the screws in (depending on your mobility and strength you might need help here). The instructions are mostly easy to follow, but I can see the small pictures being an issue so I would suggest also using the pictures on the product page in combination with them - especially the picture that shows the underside of the chair and how the support beams connect and cross over each other. Also, there were some sharp edges on some of the tubes (in this case the underside of the tubes that you connect the hand bars to) and I managed to cut myself on them while putting the chair together, so be careful with those (or maybe tape over them or file them down ahead of time). Aside from that, assembly took about 15 minutes.I am happy to report you can leave the hand bars off so they don't get in the way of someone who needs a wider base to sit on. It fits in our larger shower nicely, and the wide rubber feet keep it in place without moving around.I weigh about 170 lbs. and I didn't exactly feel like this was super sturdy when I was sitting down and moving around on it. It has a bit of wobble to the base and the backrest is fairly wobbly as well. My dad says it feels okay to sit in and he hasn't had any issues in the shower with it, but I am a tad skeptical how this will hold up in the long-run.

Great
Great shower chair. Quick and easy to assemble. Held my weight, but I got this for my Mother so she can just sit and relax while she bathes. She's loves it so that a win.

Lacking Sturdiness
I am a chronic pain sufferer and require a shower chair for resting, as standing for extended periods increases my pain. Previously, I used a plain solid plastic chair. This chair boasts improvements over my old one, specifically with its armrests and adjustable height, suitable for taller individuals. However, there are aspects of this chair that would make me cautious if it were intended for an older person. The chair itself wobbles due to the fact that two of its legs are slightly shorter than the other two. Although the wobbling is slight, it still compromises its stability. Additionally, the chair is remarkably lightweight, making it easy to move, but it lacks sturdiness. It's so light that if you lean on one of the armrests while approaching the chair, it starts tilting over. This is a potential issue for those accustomed to relying on weight-bearing aids for walking, such as an elderly person with a walking cane. The backrest is quite thin, barely covering my lower back. It should be taller to provide enhanced back support. The backrest wobbles slightly, but there are no safety concerns associated with this. All in all, the chair suits my needs, but I am on the younger side and taller, hence my preference for the adjustable height feature. Nonetheless, I'd argue that my previous plastic chair is "safer" and sturdier for individuals in need of a shower chair.
