Great for a beginner but pictures are better than illustrations

Excellent for beginners
I know very little about foraging and this book was a good place to start learning. There many new words and concepts about plant biology most of which can be understood through context and pictures.

no real photos of plants
has QR codes you have to scan for pictures, not usefull when you are out of cell range.

Good for beginners
It's a neat little book it's good for beginners the only thing I didn't really like is that the pictures are kind of hard to tell what they are. But overall it's educational

No color
I did not like the fact that the book had no color to distinguish plants

Essential, To the Point and a Great Price
Material is well presented with a good job of plant depictions.

Needs photos
The illustrations aren't enough to make me confident I am choosing the right plant. The photos are available online, but I don't usually take my laptop outside into the woods with me while foraging. I understand they were trying to make the book affordable by only including the photos online, so if that works for you then the book is very informative. It even gives a method (although tedious) to ensure you aren't choosing a look-alike plant that is poisonous. It's nice to have that method in mind while I am foraging.

The Art of Foraging
I found it a very good book on foraging that includes pictures of the plants and all the ways to use them. It is helping me to identify different wild edible plants and which part to use (flower, leaf or root), foraging is a rewarding experience and humans are by nature hunters and gatherers, but modern life has made us lose these skills which I am gradually recovering.

Review Edible Wild Plants Foraging for Beginners: Unravel the Art of Identifying
Really nice book! Clear, simple and schematic. Plants are well divided according to growing habitats and harvesting seasons. The book is very compact in size and weight and is easily transportable. It also has a plastic cover to protect it. Inside there is a brief summary of the toxic species with which it is possible to get confused and an elebco of the possible culinary preparations for each plant described in the book.

Would have been more useful if I lived in the US.
Pages 12 through 39 are useful for most beginners looking into foraging for food, but pages 40 to 106 (of the 108 page book) contain detailed information and black and white pictures of whole plants, leaves, flowers or berries to help you identify, (supplemented with a QR code leading to a PDF or similar with photographs) the problem being these are categories by "Common edible plants in the US". Not a bad book, just not very useful for anyone not in the US.
