Slug & Snail Shocka Economy Roll (5mx0.9m)

It keeps the area where I have my pots on nice and clean, however I have lost the whole lot of lettuce plants in a grow bag...and have also found snails on the back of leaves I have picked today from a trough, do snails fly I ask myself :) ???

I HAD (wow its great to say had), problems with snails and slugs, I put the Shocka under my pots and around some of my more tender plants and as if by magic (science) my plants don't suffer from snail and slugs. I have no doubt they are watching me from a safe distances and as soon as I remove the Shocka mats, they will rush forward. However, the roll I got was quite strong and I can see it lasting me for a few years at least.

Delivered quickly, not cheap but cheaper than individual collars and easy to fit. I bought it because it suppresses weeds, retains moisture and hopefully prevents slugs attacking the plants, time will tell.

I made 92 collars for my vulnerable veggies out of a roll. Fold the opened up roll lengthways into 4 long columns. Cut along folds. Cut into squares. Take each square and cut a line into the centre. Cut a 'star' pattern in the centre so the flaps will return to the stem of the plant when you fit it. Working for me!

This seems to have no effect at all. I can clearly see slime trails all over the mat and they have eaten all my carrot seedlings and chomped through my courgettes. Very disappointed. This has been one of the worst slug years ever so maybe it would work better in a normal year, but this year at least it is just a horribly expensive mulching mat.Back to the drawing board.

This goes a long way. Particularly good for potato grow sacks and planters. They are designed to cope with all weather conditions without disintegrating and genuinely DO last a good couple of years.

Excellent product. Well worth the money

I'm using 150mm squares I cut from the 5m roll, around each vegetable plant. Seems to work 99% of time. I'm happy with this outcome.
