It does shed quite a bit, but just don't shake it around too much haha I have it in my bedroom as decor and it looks so beautiful. its lovely!

What a pretty feather fan. I will add to my 20’s outfits for my next outing. I love all the detail work on the front of the fan. Very pretty and sparkles in the light.The only reason I took off 1/2 star is that one of the items at the bottom of the fan is loose. I can fix it but I shouldn’t have to for a brand new item. All the other items are very secure as I checked them all just to make sure.Bottom line is that I really this this is a great idea to use for a 20’s party or a murder mystery party.I’m in!

This is slightly smaller and flatter than I thought it would be.Did the feathers are more Brown at the tip in person and the handle is nice ribbon with the multi colored metal and crystal accessories that fan out in front of it. ..it's not as fancy looking as I was expecting.

I go to Renaissance faires and I often find myself wanting a fan in the heat. It's difficult to find a fan that won't cheapen the look of a well-planned costume. When I saw this, I ordered it immediately but did not have high expectations. Boy, was I wrong! This fan is huge and beautiful! I love that it came in a storage bag with a perfectly sized back because otherwise, I'm not sure where I would store it. If you order this, keep the bag and backing! It moves air surprisingly well, so it will definitely be a functional piece while also being a gorgeous addition to my costume! The white ribbon is a bit too bridal for my purpose, so I'll probably tea stain it but if you are a bride, this would be perfect! Oh, and if you are worried about durability, fret not! I waved this thing all around HARD and didn't lose a single feather. I'm super impressed.

This is gorgeous. The fan is full and thick with feathers, the ornament is so pretty and detailed with metal beads and pearls. I wasn't sure from the photos if it would be a cheap plastic embellishment but it is not, it's a quality piece. I love and collect feathers so I'm going to use this as a decoration and hang it on my wall. It really is stunning, the only thing I would have liked better is if the feathers were all white.

This fan is a really fun accessory. I ordered it for use as a stage prop, but it would also be appropriate as part of a "roaring 20s" costume. The ostrich feathers are gorgeous and the handle is wrapped in a white satin ribbon. The faux jewel embellishments are just the right amount of gaudy fun! Be advised that the fan does shed a bit at first. Mainly it is very tiny feathers and bits of feathers; the large pieces are firmly attached.
