I bought two of these buckets to use for camping. I wanted something that I could use for washing dishes and holding water. I like several of the features: the bucket collapses easily, and it seems to have decent structure when it is in its upright position. I like the mesh pouch on the outside for holding items, the spout at the bottom flows well, and there is a plastic loop on the opposite side to make tipping the bucket easy. I also like the way the handles velcro together, and I am happy there is a lid to keep the water covered/clean. Our buckets also came with a pair of gloves.The reasons for the 3-star rating: First, the buckets have a strong plastic odor that concerns me for keeping campsite water. I have soaked them in hot, dish-soapy water, rinsed, and am now letting them air out in hopes that they will off-gas completely before our camping trip in a couple of weeks. If not, these buckets will not help be useful for storing campsite water. Second, while the bottom of the bucket has a hard piece to help maintain structure, the lid does not, so I don't expect the lid to hold its shape well over time. Third, this bucket only comes in one color. I would have preferred more color options so that it would be easier to know which bucket is the soapy water bucket and which is for rinsing/brushing teeth/drinking/etc. With the off-gasing odor, though, I do have concerns about using this bucket for drinking water.If the off-gasing odor goes away, I would rate this as a 4-star bucket. A lid with a little foam or support would make this a five-star bucket. NOTE: This bucket is definitely a car-camping or base-camp piece of equipment. It's too large for backpacking.

Very nice bucket. I am planning on using it on camping trips, to carry water for filtering, washing etc. In the meanwhile, since it's cold outside, I found other uses for it - to wash more delicate clothing by hand. I let the clothes soak for a couple of hours, and the bucket did not leak. I also holds its shape quite well. The nice thing is that after I use it, I can just fold it and it takes up less space. I am also thinking of using it during the summer for watering the plants on the deck - I have some pretty big pots on the deck filled with couple evergreen trees - during the summer I am sure they will need watering, and the valve would be useful for controlling the flow. And I don't see why one can't fill it with fruits and veggies and use it as a basket when going to a picnic :)

great bucket, we use it for camping to haul water and then we attach the Sawyer water filtration system to it and hang it. Everything fits neatly inside for storage for us.. Sturdy enough for our needs. I wouldn't go throwing this thing around though.

Great collapsible bucket, just what I expected. I was looking for a bucket to Hall water and do dishes when I am kayaking, backpacking and biking. Perfect light weight and right size. Maybe a little wider for some people but for me it will work out just fine. Great price sturdy easy clean up with just a dish cloth. Just Remember check out the size for backpacking it folds down 12 inches x 1/2 inchJohn

Overall, really liked this bucket. Good quality, nice little extra storage pouch. Only thing I had an issue with is the lid, hence the 4 stars. The lid doesn't stay securely on, just kind of sits on top. Otherwise, great little item, easy to pack.

This thing is awesome! It arrives with some bonus items that I found quite useful, too: gloves, a drawstring bag that we use for swimming gear, and another great little ziplock bag. I’m very happy with the quality of this bucket, and I love the little drain it has. Terrific product and extras!

Very useful for emergencies. Keeping in my car trunk just in case

I got this for my camping trips, but I already found uses for it indoors. It's been very handy while cleaning and when I'm done with it I simply pack it away. I really love the loop on the side and the tap. It makes pouring water really easy. Materials are sturdy and it's lightweight enough that I am even thinking about taking it while backpacking.
