Bought this for travelling. Works really well with no leakage of grounds when push plunger down, worth paying a little bit extra for a quality item.

Spout broke within a week of purchase and that is with normal daily use. Product looks good but sadly the glass is of poor quality.

Bought this to take with me on my travels as those ‘self catering’ apartments can be bare minimum sometimes, and I like a good cup of coffee in the morning without having to get dressed and go get one from the restaurant.Good price and good product, will pay for itself in one holiday with the €2-3 a cup per day saving I’ll get rather than using the restaurant or bar of the various places I stay.

I did buy the smaller one of the same brand (single cup). And I loved it on travel, small size and well protected by the plastic shield outsideI went back to buy the double cup, which does not take that much space eitherOnce I learned the trick of how to brew coffee on the French press, I realized that the taste is so much better that my Keurig K cups that I have been using for 15 years !!!Yes, It take some extra 5 minutes to brew the coffee then rinse the press, but you get a better coffee and also save money compared with the ready pods. You may wan to think of the environment with all these plastic pods that we consume every dayI bought these for travel and I ended up switching from Pods to French press.I love the fact that they provide extra spare metal filter. This is the main part that would get worn out after sometime

Early days. We have been using this for a week now and are very happy with how well it works. To get the best out of this French Press coffee maker I recommend using the instruction that come with it and use with with mid-grind coffee.

This cafetiere / french press works very nicely. The glass container is protected by a plastic surround that has a cut-out window, so you can see the liquid inside. I'm not sure that it's possible to get the glass out for cleaning, but the inside of the vessel is as easy to clean as any other arrangement. There's a small "chunk retainer" kind of grid / filter on the lid part that seems unnecessary given that the gauze on the plunger will have held back any grains of coffee far smaller than that, but it's not a problem, provided you turn the lid so the grid openings are lined up with the spout.The fit of the plunger is perfect, and the plunging action correspondingly easy and smooth without coffee grains escaping past it.The kit came with a coffee scoop, which I guess is nice, but also comes with a spare gauze, which is excellent. I bought this to replace another make (posh, French, one) because that gauze had torn after a decade or so of service. The barrels of the two are the same size, so I was also able to repair the other cafetiere.Very happy with this, for much less money than others.Edit: Well, I dropped this yesterday. Sigh, nobody's fault but my own. However, I think it's worth mentioning that due to the way the glass vessel is mostly encased in a plastic overwrap, very few shards of glass escaped, most stayed in place in the plastic. That made the cleanup very much easier. It's a pity I have destroyed this so soon, but I will likely buy another, the product itself was great.

This is a perfect little French Prress. It works just as it should and is very lightweight. I took it on vacation, packing it in my suitcase and brew myself enough coffee to fill my 16oz thermos mug every morning.Now I have it as a backup and for future trips. Love it!
