I bought a Gootium backpack for my high school junior last year and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and how it held up to the wear and tear of high school. I expected this bag to be good, but it's more than I expected. The inner main compartment zips closed so your contents are secure. The outer flap closes with strong, not ornamental, snaps and there are two options to allow for expansion. There are 3 outer front pockets; one larger zip, one small zip and another small slip pocket. There's also a large snap closed pocket on the back. In the main compartment there are utility slip pockets and one larger padded laptop section with elastic straps to secure it. The wide, adjustable carry strap means that you can load this up and not have it dig into your shoulder, and it can be worn crossbody or over the shoulder. I always find it helpful to know what you can fit inside, so pictured is a 16" MacBook in the laptop sleeve , a standard hardcover book, my cord case for my laptop and a 23.7 oz water bottle. There's plenty more space too. Love it!

This bag feels bombproof! The quality is top-notch with thick canvas, durable hardware, smooth zippers, and nice little extras. The bag has a laptop sleeve that has elastic bands to keep your laptop snug. It could easily be used for anything else as the sleeve is roomy and accessible. The pockets add some organization, but again, not so specific that it limits use. Nice touches after having so many bags with tiny pockets or sleeves for pens or phones that I don't use. Both items fit fully inside the front pockets. The strap is thick so it won't bunch up or twist around and fairly comfy. Everything about this bag says quality and for the price, it's a steal!! Definitely will be buying other bags from this company!

The bag is accurate to the description, color, etc. The canvas material feels solid, but of course the bag is heavier as a result. The strap is relatively comfortable and length can be smoothly adjusted to your preferred length, and the flap over the top can be fastened at two points to accommodate more items.There are lots of varying sized compartments, including one for the laptop sleeve and even 3 slots for pens/pencils. Can hold plenty of books as well as smaller items like a notepad, chargers, etc. The side compartment is pretty small, probably couldn't hold most water bottles.My one critique would be that opening the main compartment can be a bit challenging. You need to open then flap and then unzip to be able to access your items. Then to close it you need to zip it (which can be challenging on a flimsy bag) and then buckle the flap in (which again can be challenging). This mostly just serves to keep the bag from flopping open, as it isn't water tight at all (there are holes on both sides of the zipper).Also, there's a number of rivets on the bag which I'm not sure the purpose of, I guess it just adds to the aesthetic.

The bag broke within a month of ordering it. Very low quality other reviews clearly don't use the bag daily. broke my laptop and put me out a bag. Looks great but it the least durable bag I have ever used.

This item arrived fast. Upon opening package, item appears of good quality canvas material. I have purchased a few of the waxed canvas zipper pouches from Gootium in the past and was happy with the quality for the price. This messenger bag has a good amount of storage compartments from zippered, snap button, and non zippered open style. Perfect sized main compartment storage for laptop computer, tablet, or iPad. Nice adjustable shoulder strap as well. I chose the dark green color and I’m satisfied with it. Good price point for this product. I would recommend this messenger bag. I will post additional feedback on functionality and durability once I get some use out of it. Thanks Gootium.

Almost perfect - but bag stays really wrinkled and the stitching was coming apart after just a few days.Super cute bag, great size, but quality could be improved.

This bag is the perfect size for my needs. I love the green color and the sturdy fabric - so far it has held up well to carrying my laptop, large water bottle, notebooks, cardigan, and other things I use on a daily basis in school. I am super happy with all the pockets and storage space (I love the ability to organize!), and the padded laptop area. The light colored straps do show small nicks easily, but other than that, I am extremely pleased with this messenger bag. I will probably end up buying another one in black so that my son, who has been admiring this one, can have one as well.

My bag arrived in time to take on vacation. I was amazed how the style, size, zippered and open pockets were easy access to laptop, phone, travel info, and comfort supplies I like that it was gender neutral and the olive color a pleasing shade of green. This is my new bag for errands. It is an incredible value for it's appearance, versatility, and durability.
