My 6-year-old digs it very much but...
The LED's are very bright and it spreads a whole lot of light around the room. The sound is pretty much what you'd expect from a 2" speaker. You will not, I repeat, WILL NOT be hosting any parties or gatherings with the sound produced from this speaker. It's just not all that powerful. Did I mention the speaker is only 2"?One annoying feature is the dialogue it produces each time you turn it on: "The bluetooth device is ready to pair" "The bluetooth device has connected successfully"Now picture the hostess at your local sushi joint speaking those lines. That's what you get with this speaker...Would it be so difficult to just use a simple beep or some kind of tone to signify connection? Now let's talk about all the plugs and buttons:The LED button obviously turns the lights on and off. There's no blinking to the music. The clear ball spins and the LED's inside blink in sequence that's it. The music does not have to play in order to get light and the lights can be turned on without any music. Will anyone really use the forward, pause and back buttons when you can easily just use those buttons on your phone? By holding down each button you can adjust the volume but once again, the phone does that as well. Why is there a micro SD and USB plugs? Those extra buttons make sense if you're going to use flash memory for your music but seriously, who uses flash memory to play back music especially since this thing is bluetooth. The Mini USB is for charging the internal battery which does last a pretty long time. The ball spinning motor is a little on the loud side. You don't hear it if music is playing but it's very noticeable by itself. Maybe I got a funky unit? Who knows.Do the positives outweigh the negatives? I think so. At least for my 6-year-old.In the end, this is a kids toy not a party speaker. A great gift for any kid.

Maybe mine was defective...?! I dont know but it only had a faint red and blue light that barely projected onto the ceiling. The speaker wasn’t very loud either. Would not recommend.
