You won't be disappointed
This bar is an outstanding value. It has a nice weight to it--solid and oddly heavier than you expect it to feel for 28lbs. The black zinc offers nice protection and increases the overall sexiness of the bar--I recommend it. You won't regret it if you have the extra cash to spend--it really is a nice-looking bar. It is also longer than a typical 4 ft bar, which is nice if having a rackable bar is important to you. Keep in mind, the sleeves will rest on the J-hooks or safety arms so when I say it is rackable, it can be... but it is not truly rackable (if that makes sense). Nevertheless, I rack it and I wasn't sure it was important to me until I used it and now I can't imagine having a shorter bar. Knurling is in the goldilocks range--just right and comparable to the Rogue 2.0 olympic bar. Although, if I had a criticism, it would be that the knurling doesn't go far enough into the middle of the bar. It would be nice to have at more knurling for close grip exercises instead of a smooth bar. Not a deal-breaker by any means, but worth mentioning. The spinning sleeves are overkill, but a nice touch that adds a premium factor that only increases its value especially when compared to higher-end bars such as Rogue's curl bars that sell for at least double the price with shipping. Regarding performance... it does what you expect it to do and it feels like a premium bar when doing it. Overall, I highly recommend this bar. This bar is an amazing and you will not be disappointed. There really is no comparison at this price point, in my opinion. Go ahead.... add it to your cart now!

Might be perfect
Considering the weight of the bar, the finish, rotating sleeves, 500 lb capacity, and the COST, this bar might be perfect. It’s simply gorgeous to behold. Zero complaints thus far. The specs say 28lbs. I can’t confirm it, but I know its close. The total weight of the bar plus the packaging was 30.2 lbs. the knurling is good, but not aggressive. Personally, I like to use a close grip with a EZ curl bar, so I would have preferred the knurling to go all the way through the curved section, but I think thats less common. Its a little greasy out of the package so give it a wipe and you’ll be all set.

Great Buy
Overall I’m very happy with my purchase. The build quality is better than expected. Wish I bought it sooner. The only negative thing I have to say is that it appears they powder coated over a small patch of rust resulting in a textured spot around the center of the bar.

You get what you pay for!
Although this barbell is expensive it is a very very high quality item. The grips in the center are perfect. Smooth for weights to be placed on and off. Love the red barbell cool look to it. Makes a perfect addition to my little workout space. Very sturdy and looks like it can hold a lot of weight although I’ll never know because I don’t do ultra heavy lifting. This bar will last forever and maybe even last through a zombie apocalypse. I would order from them again. Also this product arrived several days earlier than expected and was well packaged and protected (not that anything could bend, break or alter this sturdy bar). A+!

Just like what I'm used to at the gym.
Man, this is hideously expensive but it's exactly what I wanted. It's actually nicer than the bar at my (previous) gym.I guess you get what you pay for and in this instance, that's a really good thing. This thing screams engineering and quality.Anyway, you aren't going to find a better barbell. This is the bar you use at the gym, except probably much nicer. Now that many of us are realizing we need to build serious home gyms, this is the kind of equipment you should spring for. Dumbbells are fine, but to really get a good upper body workout, you need a barbell. I suggest you buy this one.

Amazing value. Needs a little more knurling.
I got the 56" 500 lb capacity curl bar. It weighs 28 pounds and fits on my wall-mounted barbell rack, which is mounted two 16" studs apart. It is technically rackable in a standard cage, but it will rack on the sleeves. Not the bar.Pros: this thing easily rivals big gym brands in terms of quality. And it was just under 71 bucks shipped to my door. The angles feel comfortable. The knurling feels great - just slightly more aggressive than my Ohio bar. The sleeves rotate smoothly and quietly. The bar's coating is extremely similar to my black E-coat Ohio bar.Cons: the knurling should extend into the two innermost angles of the bar for close-grip work. Doesn't have to be all the way to center - just a couple inches past each bend. The bar arrived *drenched* in oil. Like actually dripping. And, much to my chagrin, the ugly logo and stupid name is indeed present on both ends of the bar contrary to other photos posted. I'm sure I could take the snap rings out & flip the end caps around, but I'm lazy and - above all else - cheap. Which is exactly why I bought this bar. Sorry America.
