Perfect Salomon quality entry level shoes
Just a great pair of shoes for day-to-day commute. From built quality you can see that they are not top tier luxury shoes, compared to other Salomon shoes, but hey, $50 for good looking, indestructible pair of snickers - I am in. Bought two pairs straight away. Second pair for next year.

So good, I bought a 2nd pair
Great, comfortable shoe. Even bought a 2nd pair to have them in 2 places! Can walk miles in these in comfort.

Lightweight hiking greatness!
These shoes are comfortable and durable and managed some difficult trail hikes in the deserts of Arizona and the rolling hills of Pakistan!

A rainy day walking shoe
Not familiar with Salomon but bought a few different brands of hiking shoes for a trip. All the others went back for different reasons. I kept these because they were comfortable and have a different look. Never took them on the trip and glad I didn’t as they’re too light-duty for real hiking. But walking around in them is fine. If you have wide feet the front of the shoe doesn’t angle in that much so good for us ground slappers if not quite aesthetically as pleasing. The other oddity is the material of the upper- it definitely seems waterproof, but it doesn’t breathe. When in motion I don’t notice but if I’m sitting around my feet get hot. I suppose this is a pro for rainy days and those with perpetually chilly feet. I like the lower, good heel support and feels stable. As others have said the tongue is a weird floppy thing but it doesn’t really get in my way. Overall not bad these will be my rainy day walking shoes.

Excellent hybrid hiking shoe
Light and comfortable. The bottoms have a great pattern for grip. Great for warm weather as they breath well. This was my first pair of Salomon shoes, now I'm a fan.

Comfortable, but tongue annoying
Very comfortable and lightweight shoe. Nice styling. I don’t like how floppy the tongue is, however. It easily folds over in itself and has to be finagled to not create uncomfortable hot spots. After 10 months, the tongue attachment point is separating from the shoe and the trad is very worn. Not sure I’d purchase again.

I COULD NOT BE MORE DISAPPOINTED IN SALOMON’S CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I purchased the shoe and the shoelace appeared to be fraying and given the special matching color of the shoelace, I reached out to customer service to purchase an additional pair. Customer service could not be LESS helpful! They basically blew me off saying go to Amazon to purchase any shoelace (ARE YOU KIDDING ME!) or contact a Salomon dealer. As our family of four all ski on Salomon skis, I reached out to our authorized retailer, who sent 2 requests in for a shoelace replacement and they blew him off as well. Finally, I filled out the Salomon after-purchase customer response card, gave them very poor grades and asked to have someone from USA management contact me to discuss, but did not even receive the courtesy of a response. I COULD NOT BE MORE DISAPPOINTED IN SALOMON’S CUSTOMER SERVICE! I will keep this in mind when our family needs to upgrade/repurchase new ski equipment.
