OaseWater Pump for Ponds (5500)

This is my third Oase aquamax in 17 years. I use them non stop24/7 in my pond; fit and forget except for giving them a clean once a year. A great pump that will last for years.

I bought this pump to power a pond filter. My existing pump was a "Bermuda Filterforce 6500" ( 1 year old) The impeller of that pump clogged up every 2-3 days needing me to remove the pump from the pond to dismantle & clean it! I have another aquamax which has powered a waterfall in the same pond for approx 8 years needing only an annual clean. Bermuda pumps told me to do a water change as it was not their pump's fault!!! The Bermuda cost me £100 (-1p), this aquamax cost £160 (-1p). So far, 4 days later, the Aquamax output has not diminished one iota & the pond is clearing nicely. The price reflects German engineering, like buying a BMW instead of a Ford. More initial pain for less further down the line.3/3/14:- just done my annual clean, pump has worked perfectly throughout this last 9 months. Absolutely no detritus in the throat or impeller & pond beautifully clear.

Clear easy to follow instructions. The pump is well constructed and the cage comes off by undoing 2 screws, this makes cleaning the unit straightforward.All in all I am pleased with my purchase.

I purchased my Oase Aquamax Eco Classic 5500 Pond Pump in April 2019 to replace a different make that had packed up after 5 years or also. Oase had very good reviews for durability and so I chose the 5500. It has stopped working this month after two and a half years - hence my low rating.I'm hoping that this is a one-off as so many reviewers recommend this make. On that basis, I have ordered the same model again and will post again in the future if I have a similar experience with durability.

I have had a pond for 30 years and it has always had an Oase pump. I bought this pump as a replacement for my Aquamax which finally packed in after 21 years. I wouldn’t use any other pump in my pond at all.

Würde das Produkt nicht mehr kaufen.!!!!Was für eine Sauerei!!Produkt kam ohne Steckdose an.!!Sehr enttäuscht.! Und dann bezhalt man auch noch so viel. -.-
