I loved the look of this chiminea, but alas did not discover the design flaws until purchasing and building it. THE REALITY - Think of a 2 drawer metal filing cabinet on 4 legs. The overall actual height is shorter than the description. The mesh door is hooked on at the top, which would made adding more logs once lit a very precarious task. The flue pipe is narrow and is bolted to the rear of the stove, except there is no extra reinforcement in place to stop it from waving around. There is no rain cap for the flue pipe either. Internally - instead of having a heavy slatted or mesh grate, there is a blank, thin steel plate that sits on 4 tiny lugs a few inches from the bottom of the door opening. Therefore, there is nowhere for the ash, etc to fall through, meaning it would just bank up then fall out the mesh in the door. Being thin steel plate, it would warp rather quickly with heat and no longer fit on the tiny lugs holding it up. There is no baffles or anything to regulate any airflow in, and cleaning it out would be an absolute nightmare as you would have to lift out the thin steel plate and scoop out the ash through the door opening. Bear in mind the depth from the door to the base.I did not have enough confidence or faith to strike a match to light this stove, so was left with the task of dismantling it and sending it back.A shame really. If the above mentioned problems were righted and it was manufactured with less flimsy materials, it would work.

Chiminea delivered in super quick time, 18 days before estimated. Bit disappointed when chiminea arrived as it appeared to be EXTREMELY rusty. I know they go rusty with use but was expecting it to look new. The mounting lugs for the door were crushed and needed some careful work with pliars to open them up enough to mount the door hinge. Also the mount welded to the body for one of the legs had been bent out of shape and needed some careful work in the vice to open it up enough to insert the leg. Last negative point was that the pivot for the grill had been poorly soldered on at the wrong angle making the grill rest at an angle of about 30 deg. Any food placed on it would have ended up on the floor. Again, careful work in the vice enabled me to bend the pivot into a better position so as to be usable.However, I have now used the chiminea once and am mighty impressed. The chiminea has taken on a lovely patina and looks great. Easy to fill with wood and keeps burning well. Height of chimney allows smoke to be carried away at a good height and loads of heat given out by the oven. Looks beautiful when burning. Would have given 5* but for the issues with assembly.

Please do not purchase this item, despite meticulously looking after this item, the sub standard poor welding workmanship (as you can see by the pictures) meant the chimnea fell when the item was being used. Luckily my 5 year old niece was not near the fire when it fell otherwise it would be a different story. The seller does not offer refunds after 30 days or given the circumstances! I will be taking this further because it does not meet Consumer Law. I would argue it does not meet British Standards and fails to have a declaration of Conformity (CE). Shocking that the seller is not taking this seriously. Absolutely disgraceful shocking tack welding for such a safety critical item!

Not as described please be aware you are buying a Cover only! PRODUCT Description should be clearer not impressed especially when it arrives in a very large box, when a Jiffy bag would do! Also product poor quality. Had to give it one star otherwise could post this review (NO Stars really)

Poorly made. Holes in the legs don’t match the size of the screws. Came all scored and looked like a used product. Top flue doesn’t fit right and door doesn’t close. Also the paint came off on the first use. Apart from that it’s great

We love it, although the grill when it swings back in, could do with a hook or something.

Door fastening a bit crappy but it’s looks great and gives of all round heat. Love it!
