Hold each individual toe when grinding
Love the product it’s nice and quiet and really good if your pooch or kitty had dark nails. Great value for money .

Great for my toenails and dogs claws 4 attachments all the same size.
Buying two, used one on my toenails which are thick and hard to cut. This device trimmed them in a few minutes leaving the edges nice and smooth. Quiet operation. The other is for my dog who has thick claws, I have file them slowly, like two claws per day. I use rechargeable batteries. Great for the price from well known brand.

Not for Dogs. Use for small nails only!
I think this nail grinder is suitable for cats, birds and rodents, perhaps to smooth out small dog nails but no more. The the huge batteries make it very heavy, yet the motor is very weak.

Very good, nice and quiet but absolutely devours batteries and they're large batteries so not cheap. Next time I'd buy one with a cord.

This tool has no torque!
It stalls the motor with the smallest of pressure on the drum.Next to useless!

Easy to use and great results
Bought this for my tortoise. It's a real hassle trying to clip his nails with claw scissors as he keeps drawing his legs in, making it more likely to cut too short and injuring him. This grinder is quiet and safe to use on him, so I'm super impressed.

can take a while to train your dog to use
I gave up initially as even with treats my dog wouldnt let me near his nails with this. Had to have a second attempt after the dog groomer we used clipped his nails too short and upset the dog. Was advised to try treats called coachies ( currently its cheaper to buy them from online petshops than amazon) , after a week or so I was able to trim his front paws. The rear paws took a little longer. I started slow just by giving a treat for touching the grinder switched off. When he was ok with that did the same with the device turned on. After that touched each nail with the plastic shield of the grinder before moving on to grinding small amount . Now I am a stage where I can grind all his nails and I do a little each day. If you try to take off too much at once it heats up the nail.Very pleased with this and very happy that my dog will not have to go through the trauma of going to the groomer anymore.

Quite disappointed. Very little power and easy to stop spinning with very little pressure. I expected better from Wahl.
