The Fantastic Undersea Life of Jacques Cousteau Paperback – Picture Book, May 8, 2012

Excellent book about a wonderful scientist, Jacques Yves Cousteau. I watched his shows when I was a kid. His boat was called the Calypso.

One of my grandkids has a stuffed whale named Calypso so when I saw this book, I HAD to buy it for him and his brothers. I read it first and found it informative and attractive (pictures were NOT offensive per some other reviewer's comments) and the kids love it and gave me a big hug!!!

Great book. My son is still a bit to young to read it, but he already enjoys the pictures very much. We've had some conversations about it and it's helped us work on our swimming. When he doesn't want to go I just bring up Jacques Cousteau, and he's on board. Plus I get to be the cool dad whose kid knows about Cousteau (even if he has a little trouble with the name). Can't wait to watch the films with him!

Good to read with my 9 year old he enjoys learning about the sea too. Keep them coming thank you

I and my 5.5yr old son both like this book. The story is inspirational and well told. But I found the illustrations a bit distracting. The colors are very bright and there's so much of it. It hurts my eyes to look at some of the pages for very long. I guess I expected the illustrations to be more similar to the cover page. But it doesn't really matter; the story is enjoyable enough to endure a little dizziness while I read the story to my child.

Reading lead to many great connections and aspirations. Excellent worthwhile read and jumping off point for further oceanographic exploration. Thank you!

I read this book to my kids when they were 4 and 5. They’re now 9 and 10 and I repurchased it to read to their younger sibling. All 3 kids have loved it. It’s a great story and it has inspired many interesting conversations for us.

Great book for my 1st graders! Author presented concepts so students can easily understand them and awesome illustrations!

My granddaughter and her children just love it; the five year old immediately wanted to become a diver! Really good condition and most prompt delivery. thank you.
