So far so great! Not finished yet, but it’s tons of fun and satisfying.The leather is beautiful, and seems nice and sturdy, instructions are very clear, and any questions you have are pretty much answered within a short time. I definitely recommend these DIY bags!

The color is gorgeous and looks to be Epsom leather in the color Bleu Sapphir.Tips:Some of the parts are confusing to stitch like the corners. Finishing the thread or a section is a bit challenging.I researched the video a few times to get these parts right. Don’t forget to pull the thread right as you go otherwise it will leave gaps and holes in your finished product. Always use extra thread too! It’s easy to restart if you mess up a section with this technique of sewing.The design isn’t the exact replica of the H Kelly- the sizing is a bit different, it’s close to the Kelly 25 but not quite. The inner pocket isn’t present and the folding of the sides of the bag are a bit different. Just a heads up if you’re looking for those details.

This kit was extremely satisfying to make! Provides a great sense of accomplishment once you complete it! My mom loves the gift because it’s way more meaningful since it’s handmade by me!Great quality material (leather feels and smells great), very easy to follow instructions (with tips included), came with everything you need (extra thread in case you mess up as well), and didn’t take too long to complete (took me one evening while watching shows in the background). Highly recommend as an introduction to leather projects, since you don’t have to deal with the cutting and hold, gluing, punching, etc. All done for you!The only thing that would make it even better would be if the thread used for the pre-assembled handle and straps were the same color as the thread that came with the kit. Not noticeable at all but if you look closely, you can see the difference.One tip I have is to use the clips provided to help you hold pieces together as you sew. They don’t necessarily highlight that in the video but I found it very helpful to keep things in place. You could also do a few basting stitch along the way to keep the pieces together as you sew through.

I have done other products and enjoyed making the bags. The quality of leather and materials is really good. If you like to make things, to sew, then you will enjoy this. The finished product is something you can use and very good. Some negatives: some of the kits have pre-sewn parts, this is a personal preference I want to do it all. If it doesnt bother you then its not a negative. The other is that you have to request the tutorial or instructional video so its a hassle to wait for it. And also a little hard to follow sometimes. Otherwise its a great kit!

This DIY bag kit from Popsewing was so much fun to assemble. It included all the necessary tools to complete the project. The leather and hardware were of excellent quality. The instructions, available in written and video format, were clear and easy to follow. I plan to purchase more bag kits from Popsewing as gifts for family.

This is a great gift idea. I bought one for my mom for Mother’s Day and gave her the option of doing it herself or I do it for her. Of course, she wanted to make it herself. I also bought one which I have completed already. It was so much fun, it’s addictive. I was impressed with the quality of the leather and hardware it came in. All the precut holes all lined up. Customer service was responsive. I think I will continue to order more.
