As someone who deals with chronic pain and uses opioids, the fear of an accidental overdose is always present. This device offers peace of mind by monitoring my oxygen levels and alerting me if there's a potential issue.The setup was straightforward, and the app integration makes it easy to track and receive alerts. It truly feels like having a safety net in place.My only complaint is that the sensors only last 3 days and they’re not rechargeable, making them not cheap to replace. I hope Masimo considers developing longer-lasting or rechargeable sensors in the future. But for now It's a small investment for something that can save your life or the life of a loved one.

Patients treated with safe gold-standard opiate based medicines who take them as prescribed, and aren't mixing them with other substances, are NOT in danger of overdose. This is a sad abuse of legitimate patients; creating fear where there is none. There is NO opioid crisis. The crisis is ILLICIT FENTANYL not prescribed licit medicines. And $250 for a glorified pulse oximeter. That can be had for $20. Legitimate patients taking meds as prescribed are NOT in danger of OD, due to them. This product will not make you safer. This company is preying on patients which is shameful.

This device saves lives but only for those with alot of money to keep up with the sensors that only last for 3 days. They use button batteries and the design could be vastly improved but the battery’s die very fast and are not rechargeable, each sensor is $30 and if you are wearing this long term that equates to about $300 a month. It’s unfortunate because I can no longer afford the sensors and anyone in that position could ultimately lose their life and masimo knew this and went with this design likely to increase profits.

This product is very easy to use. The directions do a great job of walking you through the process step-by-step. I definitely recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about this. If you or someone you love takes opioids even as prescribed, there is always a risk of unintentional overdose. The opioid Halo is an invaluable tool that can help monitor and detect potential decrease in heart rate or in oxygen levels, and can alert loved ones or even EMS (if enabled). As a nurse, I’ve seen the side effects of taking opioids and love that there can be monitoring of our loved ones even at home. 10/10, a necessity for anyone taking opioids!
