DTX Fitness 7ft Safety Squat Bar

I am presently ssuprised at the quality of this bar. Firstly let me get negative of of the way incase it maybe a deal breaker for some:1. Very light and tbh I am not sure how well it will hold at 200kg but on 100kg seems completely stable2. Done assembly required but quite easy to put the sleeves on.3. The gap between the rest pads should be made slightly narrower but tbh I am only 5'7 and average build male and it's fine on me. I imagine for anyone smaller it maybe not as comfortable.Now for why you should get it:1. The balance on this is incredible and tbh was not expecting this from a cheap SSB. Yes you can squat hands free when loaded.2. Love the fact that the bar going across your shoulder is around 2" diameter and this adds to the comfort of it. There are premium SSB that miss this point. It's a dedicated Squat bar and there is no reason to have flex or spinning sleeves on this.3. The black coating seems pretty decent and so far the chrome ends seem ok but tbh for the price finish is exceptional. Yes it's not great but it is only £994. I love the fact that it's not whippy. I got a Primal Strength normal Olympic bar which is quite whippy so nice to have this bar not being whippy5. For the price is remarkable. If you not hugely strong (like me) then I think you will not outgrow it. I reckon it may take 200kg but I have not tested it

This SSB is... okay (the price is about right) but there are some things the other reviews didn't mention that I'd have liked to know before purchasing.Pros:1. Assembly was easy - took me <5 minutes - you only have to attach the sleeves (handles are permanent).2. Sleeves are securely attached - 2 thick bolts each.3. Bar is very light - ~10kg - so easy to move around as needed.4. Everything on my bar was straight (sleeve joints slightly bowed but straightened under bolt tension).5. Price - at time of purchase it was around 66% the cost of other SSBs.Cons:1. The bar is *very* light - so the weight distribution is almost entirely at the ends - you have to be *very* careful when loading and unloading to prevent tipping. It starts tipping at +30kg on one side and gets worse from there - other SSBs I've used take 50kg+ on one side to start tipping. Width of plates also matters here.2. The angle is much shallower than other SSBs I've used, it's somewhere around 30 degrees between sleeve verticals and handles. This forces the verticals to angle forward when in position rather than hang straight down to the ground, pushing the (cushioned) handles into the shoulers and the (cushioned) bar into the neck more than 'normal' SSBs.3. Tools not supplied - not a problem for me, but may be for some.

Arrived faster than expected, easy to assemble. Only gripe I have is the one plate sleeve is slightly bent meaning use of collers is a must with any weight or it will just slide off.Its is a strong bar and I have used it up to 310kg with no problems.

Great bar. Got custom one inch bar made for it to fit one inch discs

I would say the quality and feel of this product is great and feels very sturdy, only gripe is i didn't have the 19mm spanner so be aware to buy/ borrow to allow you to assemble the product. (not suppliers fault) I haven't gone heavy yet (max load 200kg) and also note the bar is very light.Overall great product with reasonable pricing with quick delivery

Never seen these bars so thought it would help me and my crew balance and dip lower , well it is great so good with padding you lift weight over your personal best and dont feel it , great product ,

Really happy with the bar but obviously created for men like most pieces of fitness equipment! That’s the only reason I didn’t give it 5 star for comfort 6ft one would have been easier and more ergonomic. But still very happy with it.
