First of all, I'd like to say I really like the lamp. Fits the theme of my room and was somewhat reasonably priced. What I don't like is the misleading product title and lamp shade. Title says it has a foot switch but it doesn't. Its the regular hand crank style, which doesn't bother me, but I'm sure will annoy others.Now lets talk about the lamp shade. The metal framing is separate from the black material that provides shade. The shade material comes rolled up like a yoga mat and you have to unroll it onto the metal framing, which is a terrible idea. I get that it saves packaging space, but it makes lamp shade flimsy and cheap looking. The black shade material holds the shape it was rolled in, so even when you unroll it, it doesn't look smooth. I also noticed the shade material has loose yarn threads that need to be trimmed.Long story short, I'd recommend replacing the lamp shade if you plan on putting this in a prominent spot in your home. As for me, it sits in the corner, so I don't care too much about using the shade it came with.

I just unpacked and put together this lamp and I am very pleased with its construction, materials, and ease of assembly.The lamp was packaged well for the long journey to my home in South Korea. The large drum shade was well protected for the trip, as were all lamp components. Assembly was super-easy and quick. In less than 5 minutes, I had this lamp fully assembled, plugged-in, and working.The grade and the strength of the stainless steel is excellent. Although a previous reviewer made comment that the legs looked "cheap" I found the legs to be of very high quality stainless, sturdy, and assembled flawlessly with the other lamp components. Hardly a "cheap" look or feel. The legs are substantial.The shade, too, was heavier than I expected. A black translucent shade, it filters the light just enough to produce a soft glow to the sides while projecting the light up and down for full illumination.What I also like about this lamp is the power cord runs through one of the legs and is virtually out of sight when fully assembled.Overall, a highly attractive contemporary lamp that is made out of quality materials and looks visually quite impressive. Fits beautifully in my mid-century modern living room. I love it!

I purchased two of these lamps, they are beautiful floor lamps but both of the shades have a few crinkles on it! 😡I also had some imperfections on one of the metal bases, and company quickly sent a replacement. Unfortunately, the new lamp also had a crinkle on the lamp shade! Ugh!! 😡

I love these lamps. You get the look of a $150-200 lamp at a fraction of the cost. I do own several of the $150-200 lamps with wooden legs, brass parts ect. and these are not the same quality, but they are worth well more than the price they are charging and I won't feel so bad about replacing them when it comes time to change the decor. Great for behind or to the side of a couch for reading as they have a three-way switch. Much more light comes through the lamp with the white shade than the black. The lags and shade are good quality, if the shade seems not to be sitting level adjust one of the legs further out or in to level it rather than trying to torque on the shade or you can break the plastic bulb basewhere the shade attaches.

We have purchased 5 of these so far in our house (broke two due to our fault and no fault of the design) but in saying that, they aren't the most sturdy lamps. If this stand falls over, you can bet that the light bulb housing inside the shade is going to break, causing you to purchase another stand (what happened in our case). We have a child and a large dog so make sure this is in a place where it cant be knocked over for any reason.We also chose to replace the shade with a different one and had to purchase a cheap, adapter piece in order for our shade to work. It looks really nice in my living room.Love how big the shade is, and you can make it taller or shorter if you want.

We love this lamp. We purchased one about a year ago and its just perfect. So we decided to order a second one for our bedroom. It came just like the other, shipped and packaged perfectly. Unfortunately this shade had a stain in the fabric which was only visible when the light was on. I asked if we could just exchange the shade and the company went above and beyond to take care of our request. We are really happy with the price and quality of this lamp. Custom service gets 5 stars as well!
