Petite but secure
They are very small, but perfect for a small metal box. The spring version is more secure.Hole placement is critical to function, so double check measurements before drilling.I used #4-36 machine screws to secure them.The latches are designed for a maximum #5 machine screw.

Worked perfectly
Used these to clamp two tables together for our travel trailer. Made the set up much sturdier and keeps things from falling between the tables

Dimensions that matter
See pic. These dimensions gave a nice snap to the toggle. (Spring Loaded version of latch, not sure about the non spring loaded)These latches work pretty well for a small light duty application.

Work and look great, but placement isn’t clear.
I bought these to hold down the removable top of a project I made. They work and look very nice. The only thing that wasn’t very clear, because no instructions or guidance was included, is how to space both pieces for the proper tension. I just used trial and error. If you lift the arm at a 90° angle and hook it into the mating piece, you’ll likely get a very strong pull and tight hold. Maybe too much. If you lift the arm at 30°, barely any tension at all when closed. Around 45-60° seems best. Try it out on a piece of scrap before committing to your finished project.Also, remember, they don’t come with screws. I used #6 pan heads.
