I put it in a pond and works perfect.

I liked one thing about this - extremely - it is handy enough for even a vase or a bowl. Another thing - it is very quiet, THIRD & MOST IMPORTANT - you can adjust the flow to not upset even a vase setup and its equilibrium, especially with even like delicate neon tetras. But ALAS, I dont know if it was because the substrate sand got into it [even though I draped it to ways above bottom] or because I created 'air operation' by placing a air stone right under it [I liked the bubble atomization!!] but it now operates with a grinding noise. I did shake some substrate out, but maybe there is more or that one is bad, the other one operates perfectly. But neat little product that fits a niche and had to search hard to find one suitable for that niche.And the thank you card is well written without the usual bad english, and see that they maintain an email other than free yahoo/gmail etc and have a site where you get some goodie coupons. So far not so bad.

I needed something really small, and with very little power, to create a little bubbling effect in my 2" deep hummingbird bath. This little pump is perfect. And the flow control works great. On low, it bubbles up about 1". Second setting bubbles 2" (my humminbirds love this) and the highest setting is around 4-5" tall.I wouldn't try to use this with much tubing attached, as the head is surely very low, but for a bsaic setup like mine, this is the one.

Doesn't work on my small fountain

Wanted to like this pump but it didn't work for my fountain at all. Pump didn't line up right with the center piece of the fountain and the cord was waaaaay to thick to fit in the space where the cord is supposed to go. Also felt very flimsy and cheap. Returned it with no issues though.

Good replacement pump for my CatIt water fountain. A bit smaller pump than the ORig Equip, fits in the recess at the bottom of the pail. Cord is much thicker so it would not fit in the cord guide, but I think the thicker cord overall is a good thing.
