This is an excellent product. I had breast surgery recently. I keep mine for a week at a time. It’s supporting the wound and helping to reduce the scar. Super adhesive but at the same time can be removed, cleaned and reapplied. I wear mine under clothes and it’s very secure. I also put it on an old scar and it is helping soften the appearance of that scar which is years old too.

Great product

Bought the purple option to use on a recent c-section scar. I've only been using this for a couple of days but it's made a huge difference. My scar was getting very sore while healing and sensitive to touch and this has instantly reduced this. The tape is SUPER sticky, do not understand the other reviews which say it isn't, it's so sticky infact thaf it's hard to even take off the skin. I've been wearing the tape for around 8 hours a day and like I said it's already helped reduce the tenderness of my scar and feels smoother to the touch. I would definitely recommend.

Not great adhesive wise - it doesn't seem to stick at all and I find it everywhere in my bed!

I had an operation recently and one of the wounds was hideously raised and puckered together from the stitching. I’ve used the tape following the application schedule (increasing the time you keep it on) and the scar is nearly flat and pale already. I am mind blown! On a practical level this sticks amazingly well and is easy to apply. It does itch a bit as you’re getting used to it, but gradually increasing the wear time helps. Also you can cut the tape to size so it’s very economical. I’ve used scar gels previously but this is way better.

Goes on well, and stays on.I even swim in mine.I remove every 24hrs and I think it's definitely helped my knee scar after a replacement, as it was red and sore.Comes off easily too leaves no residue.

After many surgeries I suffer from keloid scaring. I bought this product as a cheaper alternative to a more expensive brand I usually buy, but it was a totally waste of time and money! After a few minutes it started to stretch and after a couple of hours it started splitting, until it broke in 3 separate places! The adhesives was rubbish too! I thought I’d give it a second chance put it on before bed and it had all rolled up by the morning! I have just had a knee replacement so definitely not move around much when awake or in my sleep lol! I also note that it has irritated my skin, made it red and itchy and VERY dry which is in contrast to why I bought it! Obviously this could be personal to my skin, but I’ve worn silicone scar healing products on and off for 30years plus and never had a problem before! Note to self-YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, there is a reason it’s so much cheaper! 😩🤦🏻‍♀️

This is the second type of Mepitac tape I've tried (the other one was Mölnycke) - and I like this one far better.The sticky part is good - I take it off before showering, and am able to put the same strips back on afterwards, so each strip is good for around 2-3 days of use (personal preference - maybe you'll get even more out of it).It's a good level of thickness and doesn't peel away throughout the day/night. The tape is rather wide, and seeing as it's only got to cover the incisions, I cut each strip in half lengthways, therefore getting twice as much out of it. I've had this roll for a couple of weeks now and feel like the roll has barely gotten smaller (compared to the brand I used before). So it's cost effective.As for results, obviously that's going to take a few months to see because scar care is a long game, but silicone is proven to help with tissue developing right. What I can say is that my 3 month old scars haven't really gotten wider since beginning tape use (which is something that commonly happens when skin moves and stretches as surgical scars mature).So overall, I'm very happy with this and I could recommend this to anyone. The only downside is that this is available in 1 colour, and I'm a white person so it works for my skin tone, but would still stand out quite a bit on dark skin. Having some darker shades would probably be appreciated.
