Um, don't bother
If I would have been paying attention to who the author is, I would have not bought this book. I have a couple other of her books and after I started reading, "Parisian Charm School," and how it felt more like I was reading someone's journal and a bunch of ramblings, I looked at who the author was and could have kicked myself because I vowed to never purchase another one of her books as the titles are misleading and there is hardly any substance to her books. It's basically the author jumping from one subject to the next and hardly making any real connection to what the book is claiming to be about, other than a very small percentage, and even at that, it's STUPID. The sad thing is she is laughing all the way to the bank at this point. And not to mention somehow she throws in comments here and there about finding a man? What?! Uh, Ok. Won't make this mistake again!

Good advice
I preordered on 1/1/18 and it uploaded to my kindle next day. I am a little over half way done, because i took breaks for Mommy duties. Its easy to read and makes you want to keep going which is why i’ve gotten so far already. She may give too many extra details on the people she meets along the way on the journey to find the charm Parisian women possess (hence the 4 stars). However, i guess she wanted to fill the book with more pages. It could’ve been a short guide, something cute for your closet vanity or coffee table. Still, i like it so far as the tips you get are quite interesting. I would definitely hand someone a 10 dollar bill to give me the tips i’ve read halfway through (i paid 9.99 kindle version). If you genuinely want to be feminine, elegant and possess that certain something then this book is for you. PS the part that says having a little bit of nature in your everyday life was an eye opener. Its a small part, but, had a big impact on me.

This Book Is Extremely Pleasurable
Parisian Charm School is a beautifully produced book, designed to look like a French School Primer, with the fleur de lis stamped in gold all over the inside and outside covers. I like holding this book. The content is so French-inspired that I felt immediately immersed in France and all its subsequent charms. Author Jamie Cat Callan sets the individual chapters up like little stories, some from the point of view of various French women she knows. Each contains a message and advice to the reader but there is nothing didactic in her presentation. Everything she offers is an option toward a more lovely way of life, rendered in gentle, velvety prose. As if she's having a personal conversation with you, in a little outdoor café, as you watch people strolling by. This book is extremely pleasurable. I can't say that about too many books I've read. It made me feel as if loveliness is right at my fingertips for the taking. A most highly recommended book.

Good but not great
Enjoyed this quick little run through the French Woman mystique genre. However I was hoping for a little more depth. Fun read — but you’re not going to learn very much that hasn’t been covered in many other books and articles on the topic.

Best Seller Alert - Parisian Charm School
This delightful tome is packed with wisdom. Every page of Parisian Charm School contains insights that readers can apply instantly. Not to be read too quickly, best to peruse 3-4 pages per evening then apply lessons learned the very next day. There is a sort of magical quality to this book. I read the chapter on the Art of the French Flirt and the following day had several opportunities to apply my newfound knowledge with satisfying success. Absorbing the wisdom of this book will make you fall madly in love with...YOURSELF! Jamie Cat Calllan, congratulations. You have a best seller on your hands with Parisian Charm School. P.S. This book makes the perfect hostess gift for friends to have on their guestroom nightstands. Paris Adieu

CHARMING
This is an enjoyable read. The first person viewpoint helps to mentally be in France and experience a more civil and beautiful way of life. One that seems to slow down and smell the pastries.

Jamie Cat Callan has written another wonderful, joyously happy book about life
Jamie Cat Callan has written another wonderful, joyously happy book about life. It focuses on Paris, of course, but on the whole it is a light introduction to finding happiness. (In Paris) Her insights into love and romance are sincere and life-affirming. I enthusiastically recommend this book to ANYBODY and EVERYBODY. C'est merveilleux!

A lot of mistakes
The book is full of French grammar and spelling mistakes (even at the end in the glossary). You would think that someone would proofread a book before it gets published? It just feels unprofessional to have all these French spelling mistakes when writing a book about France. Even very basic things were misunderstood by the author: kissing on each cheek is called « la bise » and not « bisous » that’s just the word for kisses...
