Cheap cheap cheap
I should have known better! The second I tried to put these in my yard, 2 of the stakes broke. These are cheaply made and they look terrible. Can’t even return them!

Plastic stepping "stones" look like plastic
I needed a solid surface around my clothesline. I don't have a huge budget for garden updates right now so these stepping stones seemed like a good in-between option. They are definitely plastic and look like it. Every "stone" has the same pattern on it. They go into the ground with four stakes that screw into the corners. I broke one pounding it into the ground, I should have been more careful about checking for rocks. They hold fine with two or three. They need to go flush to the ground or I'm worried that stepping on them will crack the tops! These stepping "stones" will serve their purpose but I don't think they will survive more than one summer out in the sun, plastic never lasts long in the desert heat.

Hard plastic, easily cracked, uncomfortable under the feet.
I'm not a fan of these "mock" pavers. I had anticipated that they'd be designed to be stepped on, but I think these are more decorative than functional. The spikes that connect to the underside and go into the ground are nice and worked well. Unfortunately the "stones" are just hard molded plastic that feels awful under my feet, with or without shoes. I definitely don't recommend getting these if you're looking to put something where anyone will be walking. If you only want them to be decorative then they'd probably be perfect.

Looks Like Plastic, They are Plastic
I ordered a set of 4 of the outdoor garden steppingstones but I didn't really have a plan for where to put them. I am glad I didn't because I don't think I would have felt safe enough to have them on a heavy traffic walkway. I kept thinking about how safe those steppingstones were going to be, so I looked up the material they are made of which is Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS). Seems they are made of a better form of plastic. The ABS has high tensile strength and is very resistant to physical impacts and chemical corrosion, which allow the finished plastic to withstand heavy use and adverse environmental conditions. I felt a little better after reading that, but I still remember how light those plastic stones feel and how nervous I was as I was hammering them in the ground with my rubber mallet. I was so careful hammering each corner that held a plastic spike underneath to go into the ground. Your ground has to be flat and not hard because you won't get that spike to go in without it breaking. i finally found the perfect spot for my stones. I put the 4 spaced out in front of my backyard water faucet. I had been standing on one real stone paver we already had, and I needed another one to stand on. These new steppingstones won't be walked on that much where they are, they make that empty area look better and I won't be falling off my one stone anymore. I gave them 4 stars until I see how well they hold up over the next week.

Very flimsy, and slippery when wet
The stakes screw into the base on all 4 corners, but if the soil is not soft or tilled, you'll have trouble placing the stones into place. A couple of stakes broke off until I took a shovel and tilled the dirt. And although they are textured with a faux stone finish, they are slippery when they get wet from the sprinklers.
