These hinges are almost too nice to ues outside. My application was for a dog gate at the top of stairs inside the house. They are stout and look great. Would most certainly recommend them.

Worked great for me. Just would recommend hitting the threads with a wire wheel to knock off some of the casting marks. Other than that the quality of the product is great and looks high quality

Instead of installing through the edge board I built some brackets to accept the threaded portion and bolted to the gate. I like that these are stainless so won’t rust

I will return, the fit is very sloppy, worse than the worn out hinges I'm trying to replace. It was not worth trying to install guessing if the pin is truly 5/8 diameter (.625) the ID of the hinge hole is probably .63 or worse.

Good quality for a heavy gate

See the pic for what we used these for. We needed the hinges to attach a custom made gate to the brick post on one side of our porch. It was a bonus that the two pieces of the hinge separate so that installation can easily occur by placing the gate on top of the secured posts. We anticipate it'll make it just as easy to remove the gate in winter when our dog won't be allowed to track snow back into the house from her 'neighbourhood watch'ing.

Snug fitting, well made, stronger than they seem. Plenty of adjustment. Delighted with them
