By far the best umbrella ever
I had this for several months before it rained and I could actually use it (We don't get much rain where I live) however I have had the need to use it for the last couple of months now and this is the best umbrella I have ever owned in my life. It is durable and well made. I love that it folds down small enough to fit in my purse, that makes it convenient and lightweight to carry. The best part is the one button operation. You push the button and it pops completely open, and push the button again and it closes up. It has a built in wrap with velcro to close it. The umbrella is large enough to cover me completely, and the shaft and ribs are strong. We do get VERY heavy wind and it has never turned inside out like every other umbrella I've ever owned. This is worth every penny, - I would actually pay double for it

The Only A.Brolly That You’ll Ever Need!
The “A.Brolly “Tube Flash” Umbrella - Light Weight Travel Umbrella has a Strong Steel Shaft and 8 Ribs of Aluminum + Fiberglass construction for Added Flexibility Under the Wind” arrived promptly and was just as described online. At first glance, I realized that this traditional black umbrella was different from all others. The well-padded and lined zippered case and the several tags of certifications revealed something special inside. The package also contained two cards. One was “Auto Open & Close Use Instructions.” The other was an Invitation to join the A.Brolly products Facebook group. I chose this umbrella because I am tired of flimsy, fall-apart umbrellas that fail in the wind.First and foremost, this handsome umbrella was designed in the UK by folks who know and understand how to deal with rain on a daily basis. First-hand experience can result in outstanding products. The A. Brolly umbrella has several important and useful features.Pros:* Easy open/close with automatic button. To close: Grip handle and push umbrella down from the top canopy knob on the outside.* Strong aluminum/carbon fiber rib construction is expensive to make, but results in an exceptionally strong and light framework.* Durable steel shaft provides strength, reliability and longevity.* Strong and secure handle with button and wrist guard allows for a firm grip in windy conditions.* Ideal 12” size for travel.* Full quick-folding 40” canopy for complete coverage in rain.* Has the heft and feel of a well built sturdy umbrella made to last. No jiggling of parts and absolutely no indication of flimsiness, as with many other travel umbrellas.* Innovative 6” long, heavy weight, holographic, wrap-around fabric closure secures umbrella firmly after closing.* After closing, a firm shake of the umbrella lines up and perfectly closes the folds back into their original smooth and neat alignment. To me, this another sign of high quality craftsmanship.* Special “Wind brace” structure allows the fully flexible ribs to survive heavy winds.* Last but not least, the attractive and well-padded, fully lined zippered case is a work of art and excellent craftsmanship. A durable 16” zipper fully encloses the 13” case on two sides, allowing for full-flat opening, easy access and quick drying.* The case serves two purposes: it protects the umbrella for travel and fits neatly into a handbag, backpack, luggage or vehicle. It also keeps a wet umbrella fully contained until it can be dried out at a convenient time.* ”AQUAREPEL” nano technology treatment of polyester canopy provides Super Water Repellency.* Fabric has UPF 50+ rating that blocks 98% of the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays.* Safety feature: The addition of “3M Scotchlite Reflective Material” to the canopy edge reflects light at night and creates a bright image that motorists can see from a distance.Cons:* It will be interesting to see how the 100% Polyester fabric canopy holds up compared to the 100% Nylon fabric traditionally used in umbrella construction. Durability is important, but only time will tell. Conclusion:* This high-end $ umbrella provides an abundance of high-end features, technology and excellence in materials and craftsmanship. * The umbrella is a good value for the money.* It makes a wonderful gift for yourself or someone equally as special.* For now, this well-built A.Brolly “Tube Flash” is a solid 5* travel umbrella. I hope it takes me back to Piccadilly Circus and Hyde Park so that I can enjoy the rain even more.Enjoy!Highly Recommended.

Great Umbrella. $39 Great? Probably not.
This umbrella does an awesome job at covering you from the elements, be it rain or sun.It is lightweight compared to its size, it comes in a compact package but it is larger when deployed than the average umbrella, which is a good thing for couples walking together or even just for one person that desires a larger covering surface. It came in a nice neoprene carrying case but i don't think it is needed to carry it and just adds another step to the deployment and storage, not counting to the fact that when the umbrella is wet you don't want to place it in an enclosed container as it'll develop odors. The deployment and contraction works flawlessly and rolling the strap to store is takes literally less than 5 seconds, it was very well engineered. It is advertised as being built with carbon fiber ribs (oh wait, i just opened the listing and they changed their story from carbon fiber to "resin reinforced ribs", so there's that.Long story short this is a great umbrella and the one issue that i see is that they are asking $39 for it. $29 would have been 5 stars for me but $39 i was expecting some extra features or higher quality fabric than what it is, will still serve me well and it looks like it will last, but lost a star due to asking price.

Solid, useful folding umbrella
This is a sturdy folding umbrella that should last a long time. At 14 oz. including a 2 oz. cover it weighs a bit more than a typical 9-11 oz. folding umbrella but it is larger, 40” compared to 36” or less, and appears considerably more substantial. There are a lot of thoughtful features. The 40” size is nice. The one-button opening and closing works well. The extra, somewhat unusual, reflective fabric strip that seals with Velcro makes it very easy to furl the umbrella neatly and quickly without you having to pay attention to where the ribs are. The somewhat heavy cover seems to be made of material similar to a thin wet suit and we assume it is designed so that it can store a wet umbrella. The cover is a bit cumbersome to just jam into a pocket.Once they have included such a substantial cover it would have been nice if they would have added a small strap to the cover so that the folded umbrella could be fastened to a belt, briefcase, purse strap, or backpack during those times you need another free hand.We ordered a black umbrella and received an olive green one.
