I absolutely love this hippo. I assume it's a boy, and named him Hector. I want to keep him, but there are a few drawbacks. Firstly, he's HUUUUUGE. He actually overwhelms my coffee table a bit more than I can aesthetically accept. His big size allows his large mouth to hold a ton of candy though. I threw a few pieces of what was left of my Hi-Chews, and a share size TWIX bar for size reference, and for as much as you can see, his mouth size is exceptional. It's big enough to eat a pack of ramen noodles out of. He also came with paint defects, or maybe he got into a fight with an alligator before he came to me. If you look closer, you will see reddish/pinkish hues in different areas of his body. I expected Hector to arrive in no battle distress, but these crazy hues on him didn't meet that expectation. Overall, I do like him quite a bit. He's a solid fatty, lightweight, but sturdy and weighty enough to prevent a small child from grabbing him and running away with all the candy. I'm going to return Hector for his smaller cousin.
