Razer RZ04-02060400-R3M1 Gaming Headset - Gunmetal Design

So I waited a while before writing this review, As of the time of writing I have owned 4 Razer headsets, two of which were Kraken 7.1 V2s. I'll break them down into readable segments so you can jump straight to which parts affect you the most.Audio Quality-The audio quality is the best of the headsets I've owned, the bass is right whilst still being able to hear high tones and voices clearly. Razer usually gets bad press for this, more so with some of the recent headsets in my opinion.Mic Quality-The microphone, whilst not the best microphone available, is incredible for the price and is the best for discord/teamspeak or in game communications, your friends and teammates will be able to hear you clearly with minimal background noise. Again the 7.1 V2s are the best for this, as this seemed to stop with the later models.Software-This is where the headset currently falls short. The 7.1 V2s currently use Razer's synapse 2.0 framework, whereas most of their products now operate on 3.0, this means for an all Razer setup you have to install two different versions of Razer synapse to configure your products, and they like to conflict with each other. It's been rumoured to be something Razer is working on, but it's a slow going process.Packaging-As usual the packaging is professional and worthy of being displayed somewhere, especially the mercury edition which sports a clean white box atypical of razer's usual style. The headset came packaged properly with foam padding to prevent damage in shipping, and of course includes the usual razer chroma stickers.Summary-Buy this headset if you regularly use voip software, or play games with heavy communication. The mercury peripherals are currently limited so buy the black version for the best colour matching. The chroma adds an excellent splash of colour to the sides but not something thats overpowering. For the extra £10 or so, The mercury edition is well worth it.

Fantastic product ***HOWEVER *** only 4stars because it is usb connected only no phono lead adaptation which means cant also use on xbox unlike the non 7.1 version

The headset is very good but the colour in the pictures is mecury while they are selling beig???

I was worried about it based on multiple reviews across the internet, but i can confirm that it’s the best choice for gaming and its decent for music and basic stuff

Amazing sound and mic quality perfect for gaming I just wish there was a volume slider on the cable of ear cup

All my mates were sayin my mic sounds really clear on R6 and csgo, 100% worth any money you drop on it.

Very comfortable around the ears and great sound effects just about cancel out every background sound....very pleased with them.
