Tespo Wire Storage Cubes Modular Shelving Unit DIY Metal Grid Closet Organizer System, Bookcase, Cabinet (20 Cubes)

It took a while to write my review because I was hoping to store all my books in these (I have a LOT of books), but while these shelves can bear a lot of weight, I decided on a rolling bookshelf that has a lot of floor clearance for my Eufy Robovac. Still, these cubbies are great for storing my art supplies and shoes and what not.And since I absolutely hate dusting, I decided my cubbies needed a cover. I should have bought one that comes with it, but I was up for experimenting, even though DIY crafts are not my thing. The smaller unit is wrapped in the type of cellophane that they use to wrap large packages. I like that it's clear, but I fear it will attract dust. I tried wrapping the outside, but it wouldn't cling. So, I had to wrap each individual door and that was a pain. I was thinking of doing the entire units that way, but it's bother and it might attract more dust and worse dusting the shelfs might not remove the dust. The second set I covered with a bed sheet and used paper clips to keep it in place. I'm not so concerned with look as I am with being able to remove the sheet to wash it when it's dusty. The third set is in the back of my apartment, where I'm less concerned with dust. I love the doors that Tespo sent for free because I was trying to create 3 separate units. They were incredibly helpful and even sent test photos of how it would look and respond to a large number of books.On the whole, the units are easy to put together and the pieces do snap together, but things get trickier as I built the larger units. I mean that some center pieces were no longer locked in place and I had to push and pull the wire pieces to get everything to snap in place. Tespo does provide a little wooden hammer, but it wasn't good for anything but making noise. Again, the customer service was great and I would give the product 5 stars, if only the black connectors didn't break and didn't lose their grip after a few uses (connecting and reconnecting).Note: All but one of the photos appear rotated 90 degrees to the left. They are properly on my computer.

I ordered these to organize the closet in my sewing room. They were easy to put together but time consuming. In addition to the plastic connectors, I used zip ties and feel the structure is very sturdy now. I gave it only four stars because I purchased the 20 cube package. That will only give 20 if you put them all together as one unit of 4 x 5 cubes. I made mine one structure of 3 x 4 with 3 x 2 for a total of 18 cubes. There were only enough pieces to make 1 more cube for a total of 19. I really needed 20. There were not enough plastic connectors to complete the 19th cube so I used the zip ties. I read reports that the connectors were not sturdy but I did not have any problems with them breaking. All in all, I am happy with the product which does what I needed done.

I am a teacher and I usually do not write reviews because most items I purchase are out of pocket expenses and cost effective to my wallet, but as time goes on my dissatisfaction with this product grows. I was looking for a product that was reasonably priced and easy to assemble that would be able to house a picture book library for my class. I purchased the foldable cubes to go with this unit, really cute book labels, and headed to school with my husband to set it all up. As we began set up, we had some difficulty getting the connectors to fit into the wire frames because of the thickness of some of the frames. The connectors would separate and a cube would fall apart. We shrugged it off and kept going. When we were just about finished we realized we were short 4 connectors. We just decided not to use the last row of cubes. A bit disappointing, but chock it up to a error and move on. It was all ready to go at this point. The first week of school the inevitable began to happen. The cubes began to "explode" and fall apart. I made sure when setting them up that they did not exceed the weight limit, but they fell apart. One connector would come loose and then the entire unit began to fragment. When one connector fails the cubes become unstable and before you know it they all have problems. I still had faith in the product and would remove all the cubes and put the frames back together. BUT, moving into the second quarter of this school year, I AM DONE. I cannot tell you how many times and how much time I have wasted continuing to put this back together. As a teacher my time is extremely valuable and I am done. SO, sad that I thought I had a product that would be inexpensive and durable, and yet this is what I get for the money I paid. The other thing that added to the removal of this product was the safety of my children in class. Imagine if it collapsed entirely while a child was getting a book. So disappointed.

This is a very handy product. I have been able to make 4 sets of shelves for different parts of the house to solve storage problems in small areas. In fact, I will probably order this again because I find it so useful to be able to assemble tall, narrow shelves.However, I cannot give it five stars because it does not come with enough connectors and because, when the cubes are stacked, there is no way to get connectors to fasten the back two corners of each cube. This is annoying but not impossible to fix. I solved the problem by buying extra connectors from LANGRIA (the connectors are identical except for the brand name stamped on the front) and black, 12-gauge Darice floral wire to connect those back corners.Obviously, the open wire allows whatever is inside to collect more dust than a normal shelf would allow, but there are many baskets and boxes available to alleviate the dust problem.
