I'm glad they have these in 4x but I'm usually a 2x or 3x and was surprised I needed 4x. Initially bought 3x but returned for 4x. That said, they're comfortable, dry quick and work like they should.

These are a good pair, bought for my husband who is a challenge to fit something long enough and large enough.4x fits him comfortably. we did remove the mesh liner. I would buy again in another pattern, but this time around we wanted the flamingos! Has the rippily elastic waistband, i know some folks dont care for but fabric wuality is pretty good for amazon find.

The vendors size chart is spot on, go by the chart.Pros: The pattern was matched on the front and back!The waistband is nicely wide, evenly gathered and the drawstring goes all the way around the waist. The side pocket has a grommet drainage hole. The length grazes the knee. The woven polyester fabric is silky smooth and is not see through when it's dry or wet. They look very nice on and the fabric is not a cheap looking glossy, shiny polyester. The gray on gray muted tropical print looks much more expensive than it is.Cons: The material is NOT "a four way stretch" because it's a woven polyester. (If you need fabric that stretches - you need to buy a spandex blend.) Check ALL the seams and sewing on the swim trunks. I had to re -sew one of the pockets because the lining had a large hole in the seam where it wasn't sewn shut properly. (I shouldn't have to fix a brand new clothing item, but the recipient liked these swim shorts and it was simpler to do the small repair rather than hassle with a return.)Would I buy these again? Yes I would. Good looking knee length swim trunks in a pattern suitable for mature adults are hard to find. These would have received Five Stars if the pocket had been properly sewn.
