MerrellMen's Intercept Low Rise Hiking Shoes

I prefer wearing a shoe to wearing a boot for hiking or short walks. I have a similar pair that I still use before buying this particular shoe as I wanted to compare them. Both have very good features. I went for a half size up on this shoe as someone recommended it and to my suprise these shoes are a good fit , slight pinching on my right toe otherwise very comfortable. Lower support and protection ideal, solid with comfort and upper strong and breathable so an expensive shoe but well worth the price.

I listened to other reviews. I am a size 9 and bought a 9.5. Glad I did. The look great and very comfortable.

Soft uppers , nice to get a 9.5 size - size is true and fits perfectly .Edge of soles slightly rounded which I prefer

Great shoe. I love them as they look good and really comfortable. But after only a couple of months they have split on the rubber on the toe. Not impressed at all 😤

Very small made! I have 2 pairs or merrell trainers already and are size 9.5 and fit like a glove! I've had to exchange these for a size 10 but Re still too small; I reckon a 10.5 should fit! Apart from that, they are well made and should be very comfortable when I get the size that fits! I recommend sizing one whole size above your normal sizing!!

I tend to use these as an all round trainer. I wear them for every day use and I also wear them when out on hill and country walks. They are a really comfortable shoe, which grips well on rough or slippery ground. I’ve tried other over the last 8 years or so, but they are always a bit to wide a fit, so I come back to these.My shoe size is generally a 9.5 but it switches between uk 9.5 to 10 or European 43 to 44, depending on the make of the shoe. I find the fit of these trainers to be ever so slightly on the smaller fit and so take a 44.

So love these shoes , comfortable, fit well and look great. I’m about a year in now and splits have started to appear in the front waterproof rubber part of the shoe. I thought Merrell quality brand, should be ok, but no! If you look in the Q&A section and put in cut/ slits loads of people have had same problems, they are just hidden.Merrell do not reply, shame on you be careful
