A selection of Gateron switches in a better than average acrylic "tester"
Switches can be one of the more expensive parts of your custom keyboard. And it certainly doesn't make sense to buy 35 of them just to get a "feel" for a switch before you fill out the rest of the board. This switch tester is designed to give you a quick exposure to a bunch of Gateron switches so you can make a more educated purchase. This tester came with 20 Gateron switches in an nicely molded acrylic testing block... that tells you nothing about how the switches will sound and feel when installed in your keyboard. View it as a storage case. The selection of switches is diverse, giving a good overview of the available Gateron switches... and some that at the time of my purchase are made of Unobtanium. The Gateron Limbo switch in particular is interesting to me, but good luck finding them today. As best I can tell, they were a recolor of the Kangaroo Inks, but have been unavailable for the better part of 2 years (some vendors DO still have the Kangaroo Ink, but there is nothing that comes with the tester to indicate that the Limbo is actually the same switch or not). And frustratingly, the tester does not come with a legend. You need to print it out from the Amazon listing or trust that it will still be somewhere on the internet when you need it.The Good:- 20 Gateron switches you can try out before you commit to 70/110 switches.- Tester case is better than average. The Bad:- No legend included with the tester- Tester includes switches you cannot get in 2024, and does not indicate that some switches may be recolors of other, still available switches. The Meh:- Gateron switches look like they will interfere with Cherry keycaps in a North LED keyboard.- Testing the switches in the tester is pointless.- Switches are not necessarily in the same order as pictured in the Amazon listing.

Pretty good
Great for quickly trying out some different switches, mine came with a duplicate switch and switches not where they should be, but thats no big deal

Works great for displaying switches and transporting them
Works great for displaying & testing extra switches. Having a cover to secure them when I travel with them, works great so they don't fall out of the case is very helpful for me. It acts as a fidget toy as well. The clear plastic case that the product is made of is very durable and smooth to the touch. I would recommend this product.

Decent switch selection but needs a legend and better packaging.
The tester offers a variety of different flavor of switches. Be warned that the back of the enclosure is exposed so some pins may arrived bent. If your purpose isn’t to install into a keyboard and keep them in the enclosure, thats fine.It should also be noted that not all of the advertised switches arrived. I received some different switches, including a Kailh. The enclosure lacks a legend so, I took the time to label them in case anyone is wondering which ones are which. If it wasn’t for the couple of duds that arrived, I would have given this 3/5. If you really need a tester buy it when it goes on sale but otherwise I would pass.

Broken switches
Three of the switches have broken bottom housings. It seems like they were forced into the acrylic switch holder, which is VERY tight. Luckily, they weren't switches I cared about. Two still work, but on one, the top and bottom housings no longer fit together.
