Light, tough, good for light DIY.
These are very lightweight and easy to use.The Impact Driver has lights built in to illuminate what you are doing, but sadly no torque settings and comes with no bits (I have a fair number) It is very easy to use and will become a staple. The Drill is not a massively substantial piece of kit, but will do great for most jobs and will drive some masonry bits into brick (it does have hammer). It is brilliant for light DIY.The box should clip to other Bosch boxes, but mine doesn't seem tremendously secure and I wouldn't trust it to lift by.The inclusion of two identical batteries and a charger means either that both can be used together, or (more important) in a big project one battery can charge whilst the other is used and swap.

Great product - exactly what youd expect from Bosch
I will say up front that Im not a professional - however I bought a very old, very desperately in need of modernising house, so do more than my fair share of DIY (and I love a power tool, especially Bosch brand!)When this arrived I was firstly really impressed with the tool case. Its a huge, robust box that somehow still manages to remain surprisingly light, and incorporates clips to allow you to connect it to other Bosch Professional cases - meaning if youre taking various kits around with you, its less to carry.Inside the case, the two drills are safely packed in their own sections along with the battery charger and belt clips - though surprisingly no drill bits. Given that these are fairly expensive I would have expected at least a basic bit set, but any bits seem to fit in fine - so you dont need to buy a new compatible set if you already have some universal ones (and for me not a problem at all as I have probably far too many already!)In use these are a dream to work with. Theyre neither too heavy or light, and sit comfortably and well balanced in the hand, so youre unlikely to slip or need to provide pressure in an awkward way. The heads of each drill light up when in use, providing a surprisingly useful spotlight on your working area - which is awesome when working under worktops, in cupboards etc, or even if your light is just blocked by an obstacle or partner helping you.The batteries seem to have a great life on them once charged, and dont take forever to charge up - so if youre doing a big job youre unlikely to run out of juice halfway through, and dont need to delay work while juicing up either. The best feature for me though, aside from how comfortable and agile these are to work with, is that you get the combi-drill (which is a real workhorse in terms of chewing its way through everything from soft pine to masonry) and the impact driver, which is probably my favourite of the latter as a versatile screwdriver and "baby drill" - putting up shelves means you no longer have to constantly be swapping drills for screwdriver bits mid way through, and if youre putting together flat pack or other items that include a combination of hex keys and screwdrivers, you can pop one head in each and cut your time downAll in all a fantastic kit, maybe at the price Id expect a bit set; but if you want some heavy duty, reliable and versatile tools - and especially if you have other BP items, a great addition to your armory!

Great
Absolutely beautiful drills to use! Yes I’m a woman. Yes I’ve got small hands. No I’m not a DIY expert but these are really straightforward. Lightweight for ease of use. None of that annoying skitter you can get with drills where you inadvertently scratch or damage your surface before it bites. Simple to set up and all in all a quality piece of kit.

A good, heavy duty pair of battery powered tools
This pair instil confidence from the moment you first power them up.They are both heavy and sturdily built; the drill has the best self gripping keyless chuck that I have come across other than Makita tools. So far both the drill and the driver have proved themselves dependable and powerful on every job that I have thrown at them.I use them on wood, metal and, most recently installing security lights, drilling and fixing into brickworks. The torque stays almost constant from slow speed to flat out. When delivered the batteries were partially charged but, as is always advisable, I gave them both a full charge and so far, despite probably an hour of constant use they have still not needed a recharge. Very impressive. As I say these aren't light weight tools, the drill coming in at nearly 2Kgs whilst the impact driver is around 1.5Kg.Both tools have built in lighting although strangely it is different on each. The drill has a light in the body which shines up on the work area whilst the driver has a ring of LEDs around the chuck..The drill can be set for screw driving, drilling or hammer drilling and there is a choice of torque settings depending on the job in hand.I was surprised that Bosch don't supply even a minimal bit set but I suppose they're working to a budget. The impact driver works very nicely but ensure that you're using good quality bits otherwise the impact action will wreck them very quickly. Both tools have a belt clip which can be fitted on either side but bewrae, with the weight of these tools don't expect your trousers to stay up if you simply hang them from your waist band.Over all I have been very pleased with these, so pleased that I have got rid of all my other old battery tools except my Makita set as I am sure the Bosch kit will last for many years of hard labour to come.Worth every penny.
