IlfordBlack & White (2 Pack) XP-2 Super 400 135-36 Film

Normally adore this film and I’m sure this time will be no different, just found the set I got this time to be a bit brittle and hard to load in the camera

I gave 4 stars because the box of film is open, as you can see in my picture, but the film itself i have been using for decades and i love it.My first photography teacher in college recommended this film to us and ever since this was my film of choice for B&W. The blacks are deep and stand out and it is easy to develop but the price has doubled in the past 20 years since the popularity of the DSLR's grew.If you are going to take pictures with a film camera and need B&W film look no further as this is probably the best of the only choices available these days.I wont be surprised if the film goes completely away and then make it back one day just like the vinyl records did.

This is the second film ive shot on. The second I shot on it, I loved it. I shoot in a lot of low light at about ap:2 at 1/30th of a second and I get decent pictures from brighter bar stages. So like medium low light. It works great with my C41 kit which is why I got it. I think its great for someone who develops their own film so that you can take B&W photos and develop with one set of chemicals.

The sharpest B&W film one can purchase. Good value and if in remote areas can be developed in C-41. Better than any Fuji or Kodak film, from a venerable old English company. My choice for B&W film!

Develops C-41 so I can take it to my local shop for development. Love the grain of each picture :)

I'll always have a couple of rolls handy whenever I need B&W. I am definitely not disappointed in Illford XP-2.
