TASH WELL SPENT!
Tash Kalar is a game I watched a review on by a guy called Rahdo.Every recent game I have bought he has given good reviews to so after singing the praises of this game I thought I would give it a try.Tash Kalar in its basic form is draughts meets summoning but it is so well designed and so fun to play that saying that would be an injustice. You play each battle on a colloseum type board where you will summon your respective beasts and warriors to do battle. Each player will get to draw 3 cards from his or hers faction deck at the start and the object is to try and place your tokens on the board to make the shapes that are displayed on each of your cards. For example you may have a wolf rider on your card that you want to summon so you get two actions per turn plus some modifiers to place your tokens in the correct shape, say 2 tokens going up 2 going left and1 going up to make your wolf rider shape.Once your beast etc is summoned you then get to do what it says on its card as a free action,so the wolf rider card might say do 2 combat moves with any piece used to summon the wolf rider, then any opponents pieces in range could potentially be destroyed. That is just a basic example of the mechanics of the game but it can be very tactical and extremely rewarding when you summon that specific character and he wins you the game! A superb game that I play almost every week, simple to set up but will take hours and hours to truly master all of the possibilities....TASH KALAR!!!

Fantastic abstract game
Tash Kalar is a fantastic abstract game. Once you get familiar with the mechanics, cards and option of your actions it becomes a really deep, fun and amazing game. It offers several modes of playing it, High Form going after objectives is my favorite. You can play up to 4 players but the game is at his best with 2 players. If you like strategy abstract games Tash Kalar and Hive are my best recommendation!

Excellent abstract game
Excellent abstract game, high quality components, probably best with two players as sadly the mission game mode (which is more tactically interesting) doesnt work with three players, and 4 player team mode while good can end up with fairly long pauses between turns as planning ahead is hard with an ever shifting board state. Fun to draft mixed decks though.
