Grosseteste on Light Paperback – 15 July 1942

A great text, but the copy is poorly published. The publisher used minimal ink so the words are rather faded, so it is not the most enjoyable copy to read. I wouldn't get this book (well it is more of a leaflet) even if it was free and all I had to pay was the shipping. As an academic of medieval philosophy, and wanting to use this essay for my own work, I was greatly dissapointed with what Amazon sold and sent me.

Ein Klassiker für die Freunde der "Lichttheorie" in der Gotik, wenngleich gerade hier sichtbar wird, daß auf dieser Basis die Lichtheorie in ihrer starken Form - als maßgebendes Element beim Bau der Kathedralen - eine etwas überzogende Theorie früherer Kunstgeschichtler (Duby, Cali) sein mag. Dagegen halten neuere Arbeiten, zB von G. Binding und A. Speer, 'de consegratione'.
