I am very happy with this rack. It is sturdy and works well for me. Believe what most reviewers have said: sturdy, not hard to assemble, weak directions. The straps are OK for my two skinny sea kayaks (21 and 23 inch beams,) but for wide kayaks you may need an extension.A couple of tips:1. Parts are not labeled, but are distinct enough to know where they go.2. Leave the bolts somewhat loose then go back and tighten them - that way the angle pieces that connect the horizontal posts to the vertical will line up with their respective holes.3. All of the stainless bolts and anchors will not be needed unless you are bolting the rack down to a wooden base or concrete, so most users can ignore them.The rack can be leveled within reason and is rock solid in my garage. Like the included paddle holders too. Glad I purchased it.

Edit: Customer service was prompt with a response, sent out missing hardware when requested, a partial refund was offered and it seems as though steps are being taken to improve the instructions. My rating was improved to take this service into account.As stated in many of the other reviews, the directions are useless so prepare yourself for a puzzle. The provided hardware was also deficient. 6 of the bolts were too long, and the capped nuts prevent you from properly tightening them. I bought a box of washers to remedy this. 6 other bolts were too long to screw into the threads of the tubing, I had to cut them down to about an inch in length with a hack so so they could be fully tightened. There were 6 appropriately sized bolts about an inch long that would have been perfect for the short bolts but, not enough provided. There were 6 additional screws that seemed to be too short for anything and are sitting in a bag somewhere in my basement. Oh and they were 2 caps short for the waterproof capping that goes at the end of each tube. All in all, whoever put together this hardware kit does not excel at math.That all being said, once constructed, the rack seems solid and holds my tandem kayak almost 12 feet long when the racks are placed at the farthest settings apart. I didn't even bother trying to strap them in. I don't even want to look at whats in that bag of hardware.

The good: Very sturdy, not sure why but I expected less sturdiness.The bad: I hope you like puzzles because instructions are lacking, but it is not hard to put it together, just make sure your common sense is set to HIGH.I purchased 3, after the first one, I assembled the other two without looking at the instructions. But which screw goes where is the name of the game. 3 sizes to choose from, but you can do it (probably). Gave a 5 star because it is a great Kayak storage with a light puzzle, great value

It seems to be well-made and will hold up well (I’m using it indoors). The assembly directions were very basic. It was easy enough to figure out by just using the pictures, though. The only weird thing was the padding on the arms was oily or greasy (?). I’m satisfied and would purchase again.

Instructions and assembly are easy,holds large and small kayaks perfect.

The product itself us arleast sturdy, but the instructions are useless, nothing is labeled and diagrams are useless, takes much longer to put together than shoukd be necessary due to the lack of instructions. Also the straps that hold the kayaks are more than half the length they should be. We had to use bungees of our own to hold them. Straps need to be much much longer

The rack is very sturdy. Very quick, easy installation. The straps could be longer for the wider kayaks but we used bungy cords that work perfectly. The package came missing 2 of the "U" books/ screws/ nuts to attach the straps. I sent them an email the day we put it together & within 24 hours they shipped the missing parts, expedited UPS shipping, no charge. I highly recommend the rack & the customer service!

We picked this up for the two kayaks that my son and I use for scouting. He assembled it with minimal help in about 40 minutes. The biggest difficulty was figuring out which screws went in which position they’re not all labeled in the instructions. The arms are a little narrow to fit my kayaks in an ideal position, but they do still fit, my only complaint is where missing a cover cap for one of the arms that prevent the rain into the metal. Overall, it’s a very sturdy piece. I have two very large dogs even when they bump into it, they can’t knock it over despite what seemed like in concerted effort on their part as we were loading the kayaks onto it.
