I use this for my watercolor as well as acrylic paints and it does the job everytime! The size is great and it’s a great value!

You can save oil paints, and use this pallet as a storage pallet for extra paint.

After researching pallets these are far the best for a few reasons. Price- they are cheep. (I now have 5 of them). I Love how the wells are larger to give your brush some good space. There are 33 wells. 28 for paints, 5 for mixing. There is a reason I see many artist use these. Also a YouTube tip I learned…you a nailed buffer, file or light sand paper, and run it over all the inside of the wells just enough to take the smooth glossy layer off the plastic so your paints don’t bead up. Then wash with a little warm soaping water, dry and get ready to start setting up your new pallet which is always so exciting.

Fit my needs for water coloring at this time. Handy to pack up and carry. Lots of slots for color.

I got these palette as they were a few dollars cheaper than other palettes that looked exactly the same that I'd gotten before and well, not a game changer they are slightly less nice. The latch has then plastic not completely torn away and the outside has a few plastic burrs that need sanded or cut off, but it is otherwise the same as the other palettes that look the same for a bit more. Basically the extra dollars for the $8 or so for the slightly more versions means you get a cleaner cut, burr-free version of this palette. The was very slight bowing in the middle, 3 mm or so? that made it not lie completely flat as well compared to the versions of this same palette that are slightly more. Still, all in all very useable.

Hard to open, way to shiny surface to work for water colors .Don’t waste your money.

Exactly what I need it to do.

This palette is so slick and hydrophobic that the paint beads up too much. Also, this nonstick character means that if you do close it up, the dried paint falls off and flakes into other wells, which causes both confusion (some colors look similar dry) and involuntary mixing, so it leads to a fair amount of waste unless you never close it, which negates its purpose as a travel palette. I don’t really like it at all; I plan to use up the paint in it and then maybe try abrading the surface a bit to try to break through that hydrophobic barrier.
