A comprehensive and outstanding collection of priceless historical images presented with an inconceivable degree of editorial and book design ineptitude. This book should be sold with a magnifying glass. It looks more like a stamp collection. I have no doubt there are 4,460 images in the volume. I didn’t count them. Totally ironic and a disgrace for a book dedicated to irreplaceable, nuanced, historic images collected over a lifetime of dedicated research displayed as crowded collection of grainy bug splats.
