Dye Powdered Fabric Dye, White Wash, 1 7/8-Ounce by Rit Dye

I have used it for 4 tops stained in light beige after being washed in white clothes hot water machine cycle with a beige cloth. 2 tops were 100% cotton, one was synthetic (probably polyester) and the fourth was modal. I used the stove method and there was no difference in the stains in the first 10 min. So I insisted until the garments spent 20 minutes "cooking", stirring it all the time, and it really worked in all types of tissue. The smell of the product is noticeable, indeed, so I have extra rinsed the garments in the washing machine with fabric softener.

The media could not be loaded. Purchased this product to whiten my bed sheets. First off, I wore gloves and eye protection as instructed but the god awful smell has haunted my kitchen for days now. Smells like big foot’s (Johnson) rapped in a diaper.Very sulphury! Did not whiten my sheets at all! Lesson learned…. Should have read the other terrible reviews before purchasing.Could have spent that money on a pint or too.DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!!

A waste of money done my white lace underwear and came out a yellowish colour not good. Ruined now. :(Followed the instructions on the box.Made the room stick horrible smell. Made me cough.

It works great. All my whites came out really white and all the yelllowish stains are gone now. I recommend this product.

Definitely whitens and does a great job!I was using an old blanket as material to make a horses head. I’m pretty sure the blanket was originally cream but it’s very old so unsure. I needed it to be whiter but wasn’t sure it could handle bleach.I only used it on the main part of the head and if you look at the photo attached the ears, eyes and inner part of the mouth look much more yellow compared to the part that it was used on.I’d definitely recommend and I’ll be buying it again to use on our white clothes, can’t wait to see how they come up

So I bought this thrifted, ivory silk gown that was billed as a white cocktail dress. It has a train so could easily be for a party or a lovely, simple wedding gown. It used to be a Rent the Runway item and was retired to be sold. Unfortunately, I didn't know it was stained, until it arrived. There was what appeared to be purple wine stains on the bodice (front and back), as well as several, large makeup or red sauce stains on the skirt and train. There was also dirt on the train from being worn and dragged around on the ground or indoor flooring. I did multiple gentle, handwashings, which helped, but was not enough. I brought it to a professional dry cleaners. They only managed to lighten some of the stains. I bought Rit White Wash, as a last resort, because you can use it on silk and its visose lining, before I dyed the entire gown a beautiful burgundy to wear as a party dress. Oh, my stars! I am so excited to share that White Wash worked and the gown is drying right now. At least, while wet, it appears perfectly and pristine white. I am shocked! 🤯😍 I dont know what magic they put in this stuff, but would absolutely recommend to try the stove top method with windows open (it smells like sulfur), if you stained your favorite white clothing item and the pro's could not fully get the stains out. Photos are from the seller, while still stained. I can try to share photos of the dry gown, later. Yay, I am a happy customer that my Old Holywood party outfit is going to be work out, after all.

This stuff is amazing. I used it to whiten my Ked runners and it made them look brand new again. Excellent product
