The Sandman [Blu-ray] [2022] [2023] [Region Free]

Having started to read the Sandman series and becoming hooked on it, and also purchasing spin offs and comics and reading them simultaneously.I was intrigued to see how this series could be produced for the big screen.Very pleasantly surprised by the outcome and thoroughly enjoyed watching. Looking forward to the next series. It also helped clear up some parts from the book for me which I would have resolved eventually by re-reading. I will be re-reading and re-watchng many times over.This is definitely worth your time to watch and enjoy if you are unfamiliar with the Sandman. For the die hard fans Id like to know how they feel about the TV version, for me, thoroughly enjoyed. Really well made.Only thing lacking, more insights from Niel and the producers and cast would have been nice. The bonus material is very short.

A superb series. Really captures the fell and atmosphere of the graphic novels.

Fantastic rendering of Neil Gaiman DC comic series FAB

I won't go into detail of why this is so good -- suffice it to say that as a fan of the original comic books, I was watching this open-mouthed (only figuratively, thank God ;-)It is incredibly close to the comics (the first (I think) four episodes cover the first four books, the later episodes usually cover more than one book, but still exactly follow the overall storyline.And yet, it does not slavishly follow every detail -- and the changes are pretty much all for the (even) better, either to better fit the different medium, or to allow for changed sensibilities since Gaiman's Sandman wowed comic fans some thirty years ago.It is very obvious that Neil Gaiman was closely involved in this -- all the changed elements still have the Gaiman touch; the underlying atmosphere remains the same.

Made by fans. Acted by fans for fans. It is perfect. Word for word. The visual effects, the acting, the language.There are soooo many little details in there....They make me pull all my graphic novels right from my shelf..Where previous televisations of Neil's works have been admirable ((Neverwhere, Stardust, Good Omens), this is the most brilliant yet.

A pleasure to have this amazing series on physical format.
