Kingfisher Suet Fat Ball Feeder

Item was poorly packed in crushable packaging and indeed the plastic lid was crushed and split or arrival.I considered returning the itembut decided that because it's only a bird feeder I wasn't that concerned. However, I am concerned that the squirrelsare going to make short work of the flimsy plastic lid. In the product photo it looked like a metal lid.

I like the size of this feeder - large enough to take 4 suet balls however, the lid merely rests on the top and as the starlings that visit our garden physically fight over the feeder the lid has been knocked out of place several times.On one of these occasions a starling decided to try and get the ball through the top of the feeder and got trapped by the wires. Luckily I was on hand to prise the terrified bird free from the wires and after a short rest she flew away.I now use a clip to keep the lid in place.

I gave these 4 stars purely due to poor packaging, the items do their jobs perfectly however they were sent in a grey plastic 'envelope' with no other protection, and the small parts of the lids had snapped off. They hold 4 fat balls and the birds have no difficulty using them.

A more than adequate fat ball feeder that, although not as robust as more expensive feeders, is perfectly adequate.

Lid broken in two places. Packing totally unsuitable. Pathetic.

Just arrived but the top is broken with sharp edges so unable to use!It's a great size and nice colour so very disappointing!

appalling quality - cheap plastic top was broken on arrival with a very sharp edge - too much hassle to return for price paidextremely disappointed would not recommend this at all

Does the job but would prefer one with a catcher underneath a split seeds fall to the ground and attract rats
